In July of 1968, I was part of Expedition 710-G3, to the BSA's Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, NM. On our first day, we set up our campsite just in time for a thundershower. Afterwards, we went to explore the area; and somewhere buried in some box is the color slide which I took of a triple rainbow, set against the dark sky to the east.

I've seen a few over the years, always a beautiful sight. I always liked that the band in the center is literally an almost unlit area since the light is predominately refracted away to form the rainbows.

Another cool one are moonbows. Or seeing one under you as you fly in an airplane.
