Senior U.S. District Judge William Terrell Hodges, who presided over Snipes' trial, rejected Maggert's arguments, citing reasons presented by federal prosecutors, who called the dentist's claims "patently frivolous."

A status conference for the case is scheduled for Dec. 17. The trial is set for Jan. 4.

There certainly appears to be a statistical anomaly favoring them as evaders, at least from our experience here. I'm going to guess that more dentists are in solo practices and do their own taxes than other medical professions with perhaps the exception of chiropractors.
