Thanks, Sweetheart! Hope all is well with you.
And, wishing 'gottago' well, as she contacts the Advocate.

Re: NEW FRIVOLOUS PENALTY QUESTION
I've seen old liens released, document requests fulfilled and seemingly inexplicable demands explained through TA involvement, which came as a result of a suggestion here.ASITStands wrote:Exactly! I've seen penalties dropped. I've seen levies stopped. I've seen liens postponed until the taxpayer submited new information or an amended return to redetermine the amounts.Randall wrote:I concur with the advice to contact the TA....
Audit Reconsideration is a wonderful thing, and the Advocate can facilitate that.

Re: NEW FRIVOLOUS PENALTY QUESTION
Update
Received two more CP15 letters today (one for each of us) with another $5000 penalty for me and a $10000 penalty for husband, again for frivolous submissions for tax year 2004. These are not duplicates of the previous ones. Total of $25,000 in penalties in a single week. Have no idea what is going on...will attempt to contact the taxpayer advocate Monday.

Yeah, you should talk to that advocate ASAP. Wake his ass up, recall him from his family barbecue if you have to.

The same information that has Pete Hendrickson indicted, and facing about 10 years eating with a spork.

Re: NEW FRIVOLOUS PENALTY QUESTION
For the benefit of relative newbie Weston, Gottago has sufficient experience with tax evasion gurus that she doesn't need to go to Pete for another lesson. She does not need training in how to earn a stay in a federal prison.
Unlike you, she is now working within the system to get her life back in order.
She will not listen to your advice.
She will not, except for possible comic relief, follow any of your suggested links.

If the TA isn't helpful, drop me a line and I'll see if I can get your case some attention in a way that will stop the problem.gottago wrote:Update

"I'll see if.." means "I have contacts which can bring lesser people to their knees."
Seriously, Gottago, Demosthenes' offer is significant.
She has IOUs outstanding with a number of people in IRS and Treasury. If she's willing to cash a few of them in to help you, you have achieved "repentant TP worthy of major support" status.
Keep her (and the rest of us) informed. You might be surprised what can happen without anyone officially doing anything.

Of course, nothing has been deleted, just moved because it was off-topic and not really addressing gottago's concerns.
Yeah, I'm sure that'll help a great deal if you're looking for more penalties in addition to liens and potential criminal prosecution. Just try not to post anything questioning the all-knowing, all-powerful, supreme being known as Peter Hendrickson. Don't even think about asking how the orange jumpsuit fitting went or how much a pack of cigs costs at the commissary.or simply become a member at LH and there will be many members on that forum that will be capable of better aiding you:

Couple of things...
1. You are not going to have any success converting anyone here to your way of thinking. Quite a tough crowd. Continuing down the path you are on will only hurt you and those that care about/depend upon/need you. If you relish the idea of dying in prison, that can realistically be arranged.
2. I joined LH several years ago and posted for a bit (jailbird/jailbird1). It was primarily regarding my experience being incarcerated for a week in the McLellan County Jail in Waco, Texas in 2005 to "encourage" my cooperation with a IRS summons. Husband became acquainted with Pete's "work" as a solution to Schiff's "method" failing. Didn't work.
3. You can literally spend the rest of your life and wind up homeless and broke by clinging to what you have been led to believe by Pete and others. This is your "one" life--no "overs" --is this really what you want to be doing. That said, I can tell you honestly that at one point my husband and I were (very) near divorce over his willingness to become homeless and broke. Fortunately, he loves me more than the idea of being a martyr.
Just wanted to give you a snapshot of who you are talking to.
Best wishes,
Gottago

Re: NEW FRIVOLOUS PENALTY QUESTION
Called the TA number today and the person answering the phone took some information and told me someone would call me back within a few days. I realize that the letters we have recently received are computer generated and there is no "urgent emergency" (her words) but it is still discouraging that after almost 3 years of thinking that you are attempting to solve a problem that the problem is still getting worse.
Thank you all for your suggestions. I am especially appreciative (and surprised ) by the offer of assistance made by Demosthenes and will contact her if needed.

Yes! And, your comments to Weston may do more good than anything the rest of us have said. Particularly, if he's received similar comments from his wife and family.gottago wrote:Called the TA number today and the person answering the phone took some information and told me someone would call me back within a few days. Though that shows how the IRS works, Were we have the equivalent of a street boss putting in a good word the captain for one of their turnover stooges. Goodness, you just have to love it, you really do.
Re: NEW FRIVOLOUS PENALTY QUESTION
Yes but that is not how a legal system is suppose to work... you are preaching socialism to your own choir. It is very sad that gottago has following for the protections of a system designed to bondage him or her.
