Job Scam?

I've been doing job searches on-line recently, and I've been getting this sort of e-mail in my spam filter:

Hi ! A mail forwarding company is in search of shipping/receiving Administrator.

The average monthly profit amounts to $1500. No enrollment fee.

Responsibilities and job obligations:

- Receive and mail incoming packages.
- Check of incoming parcels for damages.
- Complete all documents in a timely and accurate manner.
- Must be able to work flexible time - the position is home-based.

Professional requirements:
- Candidates must be mature 21 years old and older, have permanent access to the Internet, be able to work without an office, set priorities upon work in an appropriate and efficient way.

Please send us your resume with the telephone number so that we could call you if you are interested.

Attention: If we do not contact or email you, your data will be stored in our database for future consideration.

Work-at-home scam? Phishing attempt? Usually it's a "mail processing" job; I can't help but wonder if it involves being a courier for small plasticine bags of powder, WINK WINK.

I got the same e-mail; and the BS lights were flashing so brightly that I immediately deleted it. This scheme has as much chance of being legit as Pete Hendrickson has of being appointed to head the IRS.

100% Scam......and a bad one.

The packages are all items purchased with stolen credit card numbers.

When the scam unravels, the authorities will only have one address to go to; yours. All of the items fraudulently purchased would have your shipping address on them.

Someone was posting on Yahoo!Answers that someone they know had fallen for this scam and ended up in jail. According to this poster, the judge didn't think that anyone would be stupid enough to not recognize this a scam. I am not sure that I believe that part of it but it is definitely a scam.
