Acting IRS Commissioner Brown Leaving Agency in September, IRS Announces

Internal Revenue Service Acting Commissioner Kevin M. Brown announced July 26 he will leave IRS in mid-September to become chief operating officer of the American Red Cross, IRS said.
Brown's move comes after former IRS Commissioner Mark Everson became president and chief executive officer of the American Red Cross May 29.
IRS said no decision has been made about who will replace Brown as acting commissioner.
