How will the Ed & Elaine show end?
I hope they don't stain the carpet in the taxpayers' house, I paid good money for that.

We've had this poll before, and my original prediction was that they would have surrendered by now. So they're both more obstinate than I thought.
I'm sorry to say that I now think that this will end in violence, but I'm still hopeful that there will be no serious injuries.

Not sure why there are still any connections to the outside. Faced with no internet, no e-mail, no internet radio shows to blather away on, no regular mail, no telephone, no TV, no visitors, no running water and no potable water or food other than what they may have stored and no power other than what they can generate themselves, I would think they would get bored if not also hungry and give up quietly.
Why they didn't do this 3 months ago is the real mystery. It might have worked by now. Doing it now may leave the Marshals with egg on their face for yet more weeks or months. It's getting ridiculous.

Unfortunately, no matter what the Browns and their friends do, the government has to abide by the laws and the rules.

Monier's letter to the Browns in the Concord Monitor began as such:Nikki wrote:Probably some stupid law regarding due process or Constitutional rights got in the way.

His wording leads me to believe that the Marshals couldn't touch the Browns until after sentencing. I wonder if the "law enforcement partners" includes the local cops.Proceedings in the U.S. District Court have now concluded. You have been convicted of felony offenses against the United States, and have now been sentenced to a period of confinement in the United States Bureau of Prisons. This is now a matter for the U.S. Marshals Service and their law enforcement partners.
From what I've read, their house appears to be self-sufficient in terms of water and power. May I recommend a small-scale EMP? Do they even have those yet or do we have to detonate a small nuclear weapon in the atmosphere above Ed's house?
But, the Marshals have said that they're going to arrest people coming off Ed's property. So Ed's either going to be very, very alone or he's going to have a property full of people again that he's going to flip out on and throw off eventually.

Yeah, except that the government became the owner of the property when it was forfeited by verdict of the jury, if I understand it correctly.Probably some stupid law regarding due process or Constitutional rights got in the way
Regardless of that, when has "due process" had anything to do with a Marshal's attempt to carry out a valid arrest warrant?

I think at this stage of our technology, EMP devices are rather non-discriminatory in their targets. Are you willing to put New Hampshire back into the 1800's to get Ed and Elaine out?webhick wrote:From what I've read, their house appears to be self-sufficient in terms of water and power. Sure. As long as I get a few days off from workThe Observer wrote:I think at this stage of our technology, EMP devices are rather non-discriminatory in their targets. Are you willing to put New Hampshire back into the 1800's to get Ed and Elaine out?
I'd be curious to know what the range is. I live/work in the Concord area which is near the middle of the state while Ed's way the hell over near VT. I'd be willing to take out VT and only *part* of NH. I really have no use for a state that has to remind people at every on-ramp that they have to use their blinkers.

Well, then of course you would have to deal with fall-out and glowing maple syrup from Vermont.webhick wrote:Sure. This, is an oxymoron! There is no such thing, as a deed, to land. Deeds, only apply to real-estate, I.e. Property. Only, a title, land patient or treaty, can apply, to land!
May, I suggest. That you learn, to empower yourselves, individually. So, collectively, you are a force, for Right. That no-one, can or would dare, to ignore!
Download, and listen to the "notary's" broadcasts. And empower yourself, as he has done!
The 1st one, "By Title or By Deed", would be the most relevant, to your concerns.
The notary, is the Highest office - in Law!

Has Ed run out of New Hampshire courts to send his gibberish to? Is there something special about York County, PA that attracted him to that court?Demosthenes wrote:Ed just keep digging deeper and deeper into the paytriot myth pit...

What amazes me is not that one of them drinks so deeply the patriot Kool-aid, but both of them do.

What some may not realize is the mix effect when two quasi-informed but malleable individuals with a handful of common interests and goals get together.
Call it reinforced acting. Alone, they are nervous, reticent, uncertain and even reluctant to expound on a subject. Put them together, and it has a tendency to steel not only their resolve but provide them with zeal.
Two together is at least five times as potent at maintaining a story as two separated. Among themselves in a receptive, reinforcing environment, the lies are amplified and stories even embellished. Later, they will support each other's fictional versions until one of them thinks the other has "turmed."
If you don't think it works that way, just consider the dim duo in the Dorean fiasco.
