Yet another Ed Brown song

Ed Brown lyrics

we keep our ears to the ground so we can hear them coming
they keep the taps on our phones to keep us all from running
we'll keep the deadbolts on our doors until they beat them down
we'll be waiting with the safety off in a dark corner just like Eddy Brown

controlled demolition of the peoples will
mission accomplished; objective to kill
who will live to sing the praise of the land of deceit and the home of the slaves

truth is treason in an empire of lies
everybody's guilty nobody knows why
from the beat cops all the way up to the NSA spies
everybody's guilty nobody knows why
Demo.

I kinda like Sam Cooke's "Chain Gang". Maybe the Browns (oops -- :Browns) can break up some rocks which they can send, in bags, to their supporters to show them something that is smarter than they are.

If the :Browns were still holed up, the song could be "Fool On The Hill".

with apologies to Stephen Sondheim......

(sung by Elaine, to Ed.....)

Isn't it rich?
Are we a pair?
Men-tal-ly not even sound,
Not really there.....
But where are the clowns?
There ought to be clowns.....

Just when I thought
I was a bore
You came along, and you made me ignore
Tax ob-li-ga-tions;
There was trouble in store.....

What did miss?
I sit here and stew,
Stuck here in prison--
Not unlike you.
They put us away
For many a day......

Just when we'd stopped paying the tax,
Thinking we'd given the tax man the axe.
Explosive devices....
Hanging from trees.....
No more working on teeth.....

Was it all farce?
What did we fear?
Jewish banker con-spir-a-cy,
Marshals so near.....
But who were the clowns?
Oh, we were, my dear.

Sometimes a good punk tune is called for. So how about a fitting, lovely little ditty by G.G. Allin.
