Still denying he is a U. S. citizen or that a federal judge and the Internal Revenue Service have any jurisdiction over him, Richard R. Drachenberg was led out of court Friday in handcuffs to begin serving 40 months in prison for failing to pay federal income taxes.
His wife, Patricia O’Connor, was allowed to surrender voluntarily to serve 18 months in prison. She said she was divorcing her husband and breaking away from his anti-tax philosophy. She also vowed to pay the $217,000 the couple owes.

You've got one group of buffoons saying they can't be taxed because they aren't citizens, and another claiming that you can tax foreigners. Do these two groups get along at the annual Tax Crank Christmas Party? Of course they do! Cognitive dissonance is what keeps these folks going! It's like the Truthers who think it was thermite demolition versus those who think it was heat rays: they all just get along!
Even if defendants had lawfully rescinded their United States citizenship and are
in fact “de jure New York national[s]”, as they claim, (Dkt. #6, p. 8; Dkt. #15, attached
Memorandum of Law dated June 6, 2007, ¶3), it is well settled that they remain subject to the
jurisdiction of the laws of the United States. ...
It is also well settled that “[a]ll individuals, natural or unnatural, must pay federal
income tax on their wages, regardless of whether they requested, obtained or exercised any
privilege from the federal government.”...

This couple's legal destruction didn't develop out of thin air. The hydra-headed tax cheat monster can be killed if the teachers of the madness are identified and held accountable. It would be helpful to know who schooled them in their tax protestor theories.

Not a US citizen? OK, no problem. I think we can take up a big enough collection here to buy the guy a plane ticket to Mogadishu, let's see how he does there.

How did he get off that island to write a book?
