I was idly wondering what Rudy Davis had been up to since he abandoned the weekly conference calls with his motley crew of right-wing conspiracy theorist anti-government prison ministry cohorts and came across this post on an Alaskan message board inquiring about the availability of isolated plots of land for purchase:

The email address containing his usual "lonestar1776" handle (which is almost exclusively used by Rudy across the internet) is what tipped me off, though it isn't the usual email address he has used in the past.
So maybe he's had enough of the suburban Texas lifestyle and is ready to team up with the rugged right-wing patriots and sovereign citizens of the wild frontier in preparation for the coming communist takeover by the Democrat elites. It also may not be a coincidence that his all-time hero "political prisoner" Schaeffer Cox has recently returned to Alaska now his lengthy stint as a guest of the federal government has come to an end.
I do miss the conference calls though. Their kind of crazy was such fun to listen to!
Could Rudy Davis, friend of right-wing sovcits and scammers everywhere, be moving to Alaska?

Wow, that's a blast from the past. Surprised he's not investigating Alberta or British Columbia, his wife is Canadian. He would fit in fine with what I call "end of the roaders". Lot's of them out here, just take a trip up the Alberta Forestry Trunk Road, aka Highway 40.

Yeah, he hasn't been up to much in the public sphere in the last few years aside from moderating his weekly prison ministry conference calls and occasionally standing in on Sunday mornings for his pastor, Stephen Broden, who is on the Constitution Party ticket as the VP candidate this year.
He still maintains the prison ministry pages, a real who's who of right-wing extremists, patriots, insurrectionists, sovereign citizens, and scammers, but called time on the conference calls last year, which is a shame, because after his weekly bible study (always focusing on God's wrath and retribution against enemies of the "true believers", of course), the calls often descended into the craziest conspiracy theory nonsense possible.
Aside from earning a visit from the Secret Service for saying he would be happy to execute President Obama after he had been found guilty of treason, he's always been careful to remain on the right side of the law, preferring to defend and excuse the illegal behavior of those he included in his prison ministry. But at least we can appreciate the entertainment value he's provided over the years by providing a public platform for his crazy buddies to get their message out, especially in the Kent Hovind days.
