A bunch of friends of mine are going apesh*t over this story. They think the Obama administration is going too far by sending the FBI after these "non-violent" protestors.

I've tried explaining that while usually non-violent, they do frequently engage in financial fraud and intimidation. They are the moral equivalent of forgers and counterfeiters.

They could be equally just were the FBI to profile "minorities" and other individuals and groups who think they are special and deserving of special rights--they should also be profiled for abuse of civil and other rights laws at the expense of the rest of us. I have seen sovereign-type groups wasting extraordinary government resources as paper terrorists, but they always fail. On the other hand the individuals and groups that invoke special and civil rights laws do so with a high rate of success.

My confusion with all of this is... even Illegal Aliens try not to push attention to their direction. If we have folks that are American Born and denouncing the Constitution (or have come up with their own) would that not be Anarchy?

There are several sovs that live in my area and DON'T pay taxes, consider their paychecks not taxable, have forfeited their social security cards, do not use drivers licenses (or the extreme one's don't even use license plates) and have their little right to travel vouchers or some crap. I have been pulled over for a license plate light that is out.. Makes no sense to me.

As a law abiding, tax paying citizen that has always tried to be a good citizen, this really pisses me off.

There is one guy, Daniel A. Friend, home went into foreclosure a few months ago, that tried to save his home by using the sovereign crap and cease and desist or whatever he tried. Hasn't paid taxes for 2 years... doesn't even file taxes, doesn't pay property taxes, lives in an uninsured home and lives with a woman that is trying to get off of her 3rd dui using the right to travel... even though they are both (in my opinion) criminals, they continue to be walking the streets just like us, still not paying taxes, still in the house, still drinking like fish.

3 DUI's in just a few years.... She is a sov... I know people that have been thrown in the slammer for less. She also has a couple public drunkeness charges...

It was fine the way it was. From my perspective, Obama isn't even CLOSE to being a socialist. In fact, many liberals feel that he has been much too moderate and conciliatory towards his opponents.

Left wing and right wing crazies come in cycles. If you're seeing a lot of socialists squatting in empty houses, and threatening to kill any law enforcement who try to arrest them, feel free to point them out.
