Sovereign kidnapper

The case has already taken some strange twists. Arnold, who claims to be part of the "sovereign citizen movement," according to her lawyer, and is out on bail, was present for jury selection on Monday. But she did not show up for her trial Tuesday.

Although she is represented by McNeilly, Arnold has filed her own rambling motions, questioning the jurisdiction of the court and citing "common law."
