It's as we suspected, the Teabaggers who complain about taxes haven't been paying taxes:

Re: Tea Party tax scofflaws
The fact is, taxes, in whatever form they come get people's attention. How people accrue back taxes varies tremendously. Some of the "tea partiers" have local taxes that got away, some state and federal. Most people are sympathetic to those who through distressing and unforeseen circumstances racked up back taxes. But those who said that the laws do not apply to them or who racked up staggering taxes through illegal protesting or refusal to pay because they were not able to accept the laws of necessity, and instead decided to "party" instead of work when there was available gainful employment, are not particularly responsible as citizens.
The illegal tax protestor leaders are the worst, they're like quack doctors who tell their patients that unproven and dangerous remedies are preferable to sound and minimally invasive methods. And as part of the ideology of denial and scapegoating, the psychology of the movement becomes warped and twisted. Not that there are not real problems in government on whatever level. But the remedy is productive action not subversion.
Cynicism and apathy fuel corrupt government especially when people break common sense laws. Those living beyond their means and accruing large tax burdens have choices, primarily to cut their expenses to a shoestring even if it means living in a camper on federal land or in a cheap campground.
Meanwhile government expenses will have to be cut and taxes raised on those able to pay. There have been many productive suggestions on how to balance the budgets of the states and federal government. Meanwhile lobbyists, obstructionists, and those trying to defend guaranteed high salaries and benefits prevent necessary political change.
