He's not the only one, the group is a classic echo chamber with a recognisable grift element. You've seen the video, now buy my book. Whilst poor process undeniably exists and the culprits should be held to account, that people believe there is an easy way to write off debt and are taken in by the wilder claims of "Success!!!!" is sad. However I suppose that might be how some of them got in a pickle in the first place.

I've seen no grift as such in the Contract law group. Just the advice by Too Tall.

Are you confusing it with Debt Ninjas? That group deserves a thread of its own.
I managed to rip off the Debt Ninjas book via a Scribd free trial.

The author is hiding in Europe somewhere encouraging people to buy his book, and they do.
If I can find somewhere to host the pdf reliably I'll post a link up here.

I came across this one by accident care of a link to a YouTube video of British Transport Police coming to arrest them. Allegedly these guys moved into their current property adjacent to Altnabreac station in Scotland and subsequently decided to prevent Scotrail or Network accessing the station or level crossing for maintenance.

This recent judgement is fairly long (you can skip the parts that set out the applicable law), but the factual parts show all too clearly how someone who's fallen down the rabbit hole can cause terrible upset and suffering to family members. I can't imagne how awful William's last few years were.

I note that the listing states that:
It is believed that the farmhouse is currently occupied by unconfirmed occupants.

Any warranties concerning vacant possession are expressly excluded by the Seller. The Property is being sold subject to any lease, licence or other occupation which may exist as at the date of Completion without obligation on the part of the Seller to define or identify the same. Any potential bidders must rely on their own due diligence.
Which rather implies that either the bailiffs didn't seize it, or it was reoccupied. Either way, the guide price seems optimistic.

Looks a nice price to me too, I guess the possible squatter may have reduced the price somewhat.
