Shhh, don't rat me out.

But honestly this may be the most absurd conversation I've had in my life:
(in response to why is it fraud)
Let's say I go down to the corner store and buy £50 worth of groceries. I give the cashier a WeRe check for £50 and go on my merry way.

Now when the grocery store sends the check to Peter for clearing, he doesn't send the grocery store £50 like a normal bank would, nothing happens. The grocery store is out £50 on the whole deal.

That's why it's fraud. It's no different than me giving the store a check with insufficient funds. It's not a real check, nobody is getting paid, Peter is not paying anyone, but when you give it to the store or whoever you're sending the checks to, you're falsely claiming that it is a real check and that the person receiving it will be paid.

it only takes 5 minutes to open a new bank account online.
Probably, for you and me. But if there's a CIFAS marker against you (as there probably now is for PoE for using his Nationwide account for fraudulent purposes) he might find it a little more difficult.

Our National Fraud Database contains data on hundreds of thousands of confirmed cases of fraud. Before providing services or paying claims, Cifas Members check the details against the National Fraud Database to see whether they match those of known fraudsters.

As predicted...
From PoE FB - I spoke to Bailiff again who is insisting that they will still continue with taking goods. Told him he had no power to come into the house. Told him it was a vulnerable household. He's not one bit interested. Says the cheque bounced, it's fraud, no money in a account . So many reasons.
By the way, the 'Peter Smith' comment about the cancellation of the Birmingham meeting has again been deleted. 'Peter Smith' said in that post that he had the name of an investigating police officer and a crime number. If 'Peter Smith' reads this I'd appreciate a PM with this info.

It is very possible - However, in itself a cifas marker should not be used by banks etc as a reasons to not provide facilities

https://www.checkmyfile.com/jargon/cifas.htm

"CIFAS warnings are never a cause for an application to be declined, but do require the lender to carry out extra verification checks to establish the identity of the applicant.

For this reason CIFAS fraud warnings are not classed as adverse information on credit reports, are not permitted to be included in any automated credit scoring or lending decision processes. "

It is also worth bearing in mind that the checks for pre paid card applications, except for id are virtually non existent and they are almost given away like vouchers

I have been thinking about Peter's claims about living in a campervan etc.

If you take a look at www.werebank.co.uk

Domain name:
werebank.co.uk

Registrant:
Peter Smith

Registrant type:
Unknown

Registrant's address:
75 Riveria Drive
Croxteth
Liverpool
L11 4UR
United Kingdom

Data validation:
Nominet was able to match the registrant's name and address against a 3rd party data source on 10-Dec-2012

I am guessing that the 3rd party data source could be the voters roll. How can they have matched his name (unless he has changed it by deed poll) and his address if he lived in a campervan as he has claimed. Speaking of which, as he has a campervan why is he now staying in travel lodges ?

I think we need to file the PayPal episode under unknown/TBD.

PayPal would not freeze his account without stating a reason as Peter claims. Obviously Pete knows the reason for the freezing and seizing of the funds but won't disclose it.
I spoke to Bailiff again who is insisting that they will still continue with taking goods. Told him he had no power to come into the house. Told him it was a vulnerable household. He's not one bit interested. Says the cheque bounced, it's fraud, no money in a account . So many reasons.
This should be where efforts should be focused. We need to get people who have been burned by the checks to report Pete to the authorities.

@Bones, so he sold his house or was kicked out in 2011 and moved into a motor home which was then seized for not having plates on it?

They might be worried that in doing so they would also be reporting themselves.

Hello Jeffrey, it is hard to figure out at the moment as

"Data validation:
Nominet was able to match the registrant's name and address against a 3rd party data source on 10-Dec-2012"

I am going to do some more digging and see what turns up.

On a side note, does anyone know if Peter is married and if his wife (or may be now ex) is called Barbara ?

You skip a few pages in the thread and you miss out on a lot.

Petey split the Re currency into two. Gold backed Re and Time backed Re.

I haven't heard that Peter has ever been married.

On ReT and ReG, see Peter's recent video at 1h 20m and my summary.

It's another gimmick, another scam. Not content with taking people's money, he also wants their gold.

I recall seeing a video a couple or three years ago with a lady sitting next to PoE in his camper van. Could've been a groupie I s'pose.

Please be aware that although some people are having success with the We'Re bank, others have had cheques returned. We would suggest you do not pay for vital services with them..... please note, getoutofdebtfree has no connection with We'Re Bank.
I am wondering if they are allowing this unfettered free for all because Mark Haining Ceylon is now attempting to distance himself and getoutofdebtfree.org from the con he has been heavily promoting with full knowledge it is a con.
I said it was a bit late for all that now. He's in it up to his sun shades.
