It's not quite the same. Designated football matches (basically Premier League and Championship) are regulated by law and you are not allowed to buy a ticket and pass it on without written permission. Of course, the grey area is where you buy a plus one, but I've not seen that cause problems as long as you are with them.

That said, it is now common place for most concert tickets to have similar terms stating that the named ticket purchaser must have proof of ID and be in attendance in the terms and conditions. However, I go to between 20-30 gigs a year from small pubs to festivals and have never been asked for ID except when picking up tickets from the box office which would be sensible for them to do anyway. A credit card usually suffices.

And you don't have to carry id in the UK, you have up to 7 days to report to a police station if you are required to show your driving licence, but the officer must be satisfied that you are who you say you are. Since they can cross check MOT, insurance and road tax details live, providing false details is usually picked up. So I expect this idiot to hand over a card with his real name on it, his name will check out and we'll get a dumb post about the police accepting his CLC card.

Sounds like David has a warrant out for his arrest-
Good evening dissenters....

Here's a brief update to my personal situation.

I was visited by Social Services and a housing officer earlier. Because my condition requires specialist treatment that can only be done here and in liason with Taunton hospital, I will be receiving temporary housing in Yeovil which could run into a few months...then I will be referred to Wiltshire because I have no family in Somerset.

I had word that there is a warrant out for my arrest over Council Tax also. That should be interesting, it looks like I'm on my own since the Common Law Court hasn't followed through nor communicated with me since I took the matter to the court.
Don’t worry Dave- the CLC will save you

IIRC for the purposes of a traffic related incident the Police have the right to establish your identity. This was done to avoid people giving false names or details, but, as Sage says, these days the information available will easily identify insurance details, vehicle details and drivers. I would not be surprised if the "producer" (nickname for legal request to produce motoring documents) is practically exclusively used for non-UK drivers.

I've been watching a lot of the "Road Wars" program on YouTube recently which follows the cops about and at one point an unlicensed, uninsured driver demanded a producer (to get out of having his car impounded) and was told "We don't do that any more sir". Their system is capable of telling them if a driver has a licence and if a car is insured, taxed and MOTed so producers are pretty much obsolete. I suppose it still leaves the question of whether the driver is who he says he is but that's another story.

There were a few occasions where they did still issue producers but IIRC they were cases where somebody was driving somebody else's car on their own insurance and there was some question as to whether or not everything was kosher.

Dismal Dave's latest in depth look at the ongoing Brexit fiasco...
Good morning dissenters......

Amongst the latest resignations we are seeing from the imposters in Westminster etc, nowhere in the media (and hardly on social media) are people mentioning that THIS BS BREXIT DEAL IS HIGH TREASON SO WHERE ARE THE POLICE?

<snip usual shite>

What was it that our national anthem stated?...oh Yes "we shall never be slaves"...pfft!!!
Now I have to admit I'm no expert on these matters being as patriotic as a roof tile but I'm pretty sure that never being slaves thing is from 'Rule Britannia' not 'God Save The Queen'.

Strangely enough there is one verse of the national anthem that seems appropriate give the subject of Dave's ill informed rant...

Not in this land alone,
But be God's mercies known,
From shore to shore!
Lord make the nations see,
That men should brothers be,
And form one family,
The wide world ov'er.

As a Remoaner, I still have no idea what side of the fence David is on?

Is there a “Article 61 for EU” side? Is article 61 applicable? Because he thinks it is in NI and Scotland

And to be honest and not to tread on political ground, what does Dave make of legislation that has worked in his favour since the UKs time in the Eu

I’m guessing he’s in favour of anything that makes beer cheap

Article 61 is applicable wherever hens fly south for the winter and common law courts rule.

Ah! That explains why Article 61 applies in West Virginia.

But tell me again why the West Virginia Statutes on "distilled spirits in the reeve", specifically Section 44 paragraph 20 (the section about proper conditions for the use of chickens in amputee ping pong tournaments) applies in Hampshire on Tuesdays?

I'm surprised there's been no call to arms for this guy...

Mr McCabe asked Timbrell why he considered the arrest warrant fraudulent.

“It did not have a wet seal on it,” the defendant said.

Mr McCabe asked: “Did you use the internet in your research?”

“I am not going to be trapped into that,” Timbrell replied.
All boxes ticked

What a typical story. All boxes ticked indeed.
Asked how he would define himself, he said: “I am a person who is extremely knowledgeable about the law.”
Asked how I'd define myself I'd say "Tall, dark and handsome" but I'd be equally wrong. :-)

Timbrell is a full-on FOTL nutter, as per the list of his FOIA requests.

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/user/john_timbrell

He's also tried the 'arrest the judge' scenario, which worked well for him. He went to prison for 21 days.

I also found a video of Police in Gloucestershire finding a rare wet seal ...

OT again. I now only realised Northern Ireland don’t have “crown” prosecution service. The one in Scotland is different from England and Wales but it also got the word “crown” in it. :D

John Trimbell, one of your lunatics in this discussion, has earned international fame! Or at least a posting in Cracked, an American satirical website. Sadly they just play it for cheap laughs rather than actually considering the merits of his arguments;
