I took my kid out of school for 3 days to go on a family holiday & in the process saved around £500 on the flights. I've done this several times & will continue to do so but only if I'm saving substantial money & not taking the piss by taking her out for more than a few days. Not being a fan of state education gives me peace of mind in my decision for her to skip a few days
