More Laughs from LH

Post by Cpt Banjo »

The resident fruitcakes at Lost Horizon are having a hissy fit over Quatloos. One of them is actually shocked that her LH postings have shown up over here.

There's something fundamentally wrong with being banned for expressing an opinion contrary to Pete's. Don't you remember the Trolls thread?

Bonus points to mutter though, for this:

Damn straight. If you don't want your name on the net, a good place to start would be not putting it on the net.

One member posted a biographical sketch about our Fearless Llama. They underlined one sentence:
Although he is not a tax professional and has never practiced tax law, Mr. Adkisson has long been a leading foe of those who run financial scams or promote abusive tax schemes.
Why underline? Is it an aha! a claim of a discrediting flaw?

That seems strange since "not a tax professional and has never practiced tax law" describes a whole lot of people that purport to offer advice to the lostheads.

Like most tax denier arguments, it is one of two possible arguments:

1. Adkisson can't be trusted because he's a tax lawyer who makes money off from the present tax system and is therefore biased.

2. Adkisson can't be trusted because he's not really a tax lawyer and is therefore ignorant.

And it doesn't matter that the two claims conflict, because one of them must be right, and that's all that's important.

In the true LH spirit, I am announcing (as a moderator) that arguments that one of the claims is false is a waste of time and will not be tolerated.

(Speaking of the LH spirit, am I the only one amused by the outrage at LH that we quote and talk about their nonsense here, even while they continue to bar us from posting there? The problem is not that we are talking about them in the wrong forum, but that we are talking about them at all. People like us should simply not be allowed to talk about them. Anytime. Anywhere. Ever. Otherwise, we are infringing on their freedom of speech.)

Not exactly.

Nobody should be allowed to talk about them. Anytime. Anywhere. Ever. Unless the speaker/writer agrees with them, indicates such in hushed, fawning tones, and pretends not to be mystified why such brave, honest and obviously correct patriots stand up for their convictions under pseudonyms.

Otherwise, we are infringing on their freedom of dumbass.

Just because this is private forum. I checked the CIA Database from the sealed room inside AT&T. (Far more accurate than googling yourself)

The fllowing usually rolls across the screen slowly, but because Quatloos is run by the NWO it is too fast, unless reading it on an Apple IIe with Speed=100

I call foul. The answer is in the first hit on Google.

But then again, Demo seems to know many, many things....

Yeah. Like the time I asked, "Who was the first gay commando bishon frise to mop the bathroom floor at area 51?", and she totally nailed it less than a second after I posted it. Must be the cranial satellite hookup. You can tell she has one because her posts get a little fuzzy in bad weather.

You mean she hasn't installed the illuminati cloud filter/weather control upgrade yet?

A person in as high a position as Demo can't have the upgrade installed because of interference with the Ebil Goobermint Weather Machine. For some reason, we can't seem to nail down the buggy code that's causing the upgrade to force the weather machine to rain hamsters in Idaho.

I must say that I was both shocked and angered when jj took it upon herself to post personal information about me and posts written by me on here that she found on a cruise discussion board. Nothing at all to do with tax protesting or anything like that, just her brand of evil. It was a really eye opening experience about privacy and how seriously some people take themselves. I just had no idea...

The only private information on the internet is that which yiou refrain from posting. Everything else should be considered public. And while it is true that those who participate in discussions often come to think of their favorite venues as cozy little clubs, the truth is they are more like the opinion and comment sections of newspapers. And what Demo did was no more intrusive than finding a letter from you in a different newspaper. And she noted that while here you were writing letters to the editor about your fanancial woes, in the other paper you were writing a guest column on luxury vacations.

And don't assume that changing your handle will insulate you. A few years back i was able to backtrace someone who spent a lot of time ranting about the child molestation scandal in the Roman Catholic Church. He was rather, um, vehement, in his description of the offending priests and their lax superiors. But i found out that under another id, he was a writer of some really extreme pedo porn. And i haven't got 1/10 of Demo's sleuthing sklills.

So, rule of thumb-- never post anything you wouldn't want to be available to everyone.
