The state's top court has banned retired Charles County judge Robert C. Nalley, who ordered a defendant be given an electric shock, from hearing cases, a judiciary spokeswoman said Wednesday.
The Court of Appeals order, which went into effect Friday, made no mention of the shock incident but said "good cause" had been found to withdraw Nalley's authority to sit on the bench.

I also found out, while looking for the sentencing, that King had been arrested and charged 3 different times in Dec. 2013. One was the charges here, one was for possession of maryjane and one was for multiple traffic violations including driving on revoked, excessive speed failure to provide registration. According to Maryland Judiciary Case Search he also has a long, long rap sheet going back to 2005, which would have made him 16. And he has violated more then one probation, according to his file.A Charles County judge deferred the Wednesday sentencing of a Waldorf man whose electronic shocking led to the dismissal of recalled jurist Robert C. Nalley earlier this month.
A jury convicted Delvon Louis King, 25, of three gun charges July 24, a day after he was shocked by a court security officer at Nalley’s direction.
King was both scheduled to be sentenced in that case Sept. 24 and for an arraignment after his conviction triggered an alleged violation of the five years probation he received after pleading guilty to theft in May 2010, according to online court records.

Apparently Judge Nalley has plead guilty to a civil rights violation in Federal court yesterday and could be sentenced to as much as one year in prison sometime this year.
