Daniel Hall apparently put up a $50,000 cash bond and after a Nebbia hearing Gordon was released. Shortly thereafter, the IRS issued a 668-A (Notice of Levy) to the clerk. **POOF** goes $50K!
(The amount owed has risen to almost $1.5M and about $.5M of that are penalties and interest which are still accruing.)
A hearing on compliance with the order is set for May 2nd.

Just curious, if your bail is seized, does that mean you have to go back to jail?

When and if the court decides bail is no longer required, the IRS is first in line to intercept the funds currently held by the clerk.
