No and I wouldn't trust it if they did.

However, I do happen to have a list of my favorite MREs. I have tried them all and I think there are quite a few that are winners. They are:
Chili Mac (always a favorite)
Beef Teriyaki
Chicken and Noodles
Chicken and Salsa
Beef Stew
Cheese Tortelloni (this and Chili Mac is universally loved throughout the services)
Meatballs w/BBQ sauce
Sloppy Joe
Pork Rib
Manicotti w/Vegetables
And my least favorites?
Jambalaya (whatever this is, it ain't Jambalaya)
Meat Loaf w/Gravy (how the hell do manage to f*ck up meat loaf? Ask the military!)
Cajun Rice & Sausage (they really need to stop doing cajun cuisine)
Veggie Burger w/BBQ Sauce (I'm not kidding - they really have this abomination)
Pasta w/Vegetables in Tomato Sauce (It's more like tomato soup that's been through someone)
Beef Patty (more like possum patty if you ask me. Aborted attempt at salisbury steak)
Beefsteak w/ Mushrooms (Why, Lord, why?)
Chicken Breast (This should be banned by the Geneva Convention)
Chicken w/Cavatelli (The only saving grace is this one comes with Fig Newtons!)

The "good" ones don't sound too bad, but the bad ones sound horrible. I've heard horror stories from others about the chicken breasts.

I just had dinner in San Jose on April 25 at Original Joe's. I'm just checking off items on my Bucket List.

And this is what I had for dinner.

When in San Jose, I stayed around the block; had dinner with my son at McCormick and Schmick's down the street.

Actually, CK, MREs come with little bottles of tabasco. We'd stick the heating element of the MRE into a water bottle, add a little water, empty a few tabasco bottles into the mix, cap it off, let the hydrogen gas fill up the bottle real nice and then throw it on a fire where your fellow shipmates are huddle around.

Too bad our paths couldn't have crossed while you were here. Among other things, I could have showed you what restoration projects my Scouts did aboard the Salem....

BTW, I'm in the New England Law School Class of 1978.

P, when we were both in Boston (I was a grad student in '78-'79), there was a bar in one of the squares between HU and MIT, on the Red LIne, that served more Moosehead than any other joint in the city, and perhaps in the States. Maybe it was at Central. Do you remember the place?

May I submit a suggestion for next year, Cap'n? Found this place when I was taking spouse's truck for emission test, had no idea it was there, but there are plans now for a family Christmas picture under the sign...

I say save up, because I like to pay cash for my trips and have the spending money set aside so nothing is on credit card(s).
I'll be in New Orleans from the 13-16 for something called the NCBJ. That will be my Fall trip.

I heard attendance was 120,000 people, which is a bit too much for me. Just try dealing with a crowd when you need your cane or walker; depending on how bad a day I'm having I use them when I must. I have been bowled over by rude little twerps running in the hallways, and the cane is much handier than the walker for instant justice. (But a throwing dagger is what I really want to use.) Pick up any art?

No; I tended to do my drinking in the Back Bay, which is where my law school was....
