Dr. Caligari's Challenge to Lorne

Post by Dr. Caligari »

On another thread, lorne made this assertion:
lorne wrote:The Income Tax is an excise; it does not tax all labor. One may avoid that excise by avoiding the activity/property that produces "income."
I responded by asking lorne these questions:
Dr. Caligari wrote:Lorne, what is [your] definition of "income"?
What "activity/property" produces income?
And, my most important question, what Supreme Court decision says so?
lorne has yet to answer. Because my questions may have gotten lost on that other thread, I am asking lorne to answer them here. We will see if he really believes the stuff he has been spouting, or if he is just another troll who won't even attempt to justify his drive-by postings.

I would respectfully request that other posters not post on this thread until lorne has a chance to respond.

Doc! you got me out of my hammock for this? Yes you asked this question before and I answered it:

To reiterate, yes this is the sixty-four thousand dollar question. The whole Income Tax scam hinges on this definition. But I'm not the one to lead you out of the dark wood you've found yourself in. Any Quatloser who chooses to ride in the "Adkisson" wagon deserves their fate. Besides, the answer is contained in the law itself, and explained in books you choose not to read.

I asked it before, but you didn't answer then, and still haven't answered it. You still haven't said what you think the definition of "income" is, nor have you cited a single Supreme Court (or any!) case.

My goal was to force him to either articulate a position which I could show was false, or to demonstrate that he is indeed a troll. (I did the latter). The point is to not let him deceive any lurkers.
