I can easily understand why Lanier is upset. She used the Magic Words, but the Court just wouldn't listen.

She can take heart from the fact that there were no sanctions, therefore it's just another in a long line of victories.

Warrior on, psychotics!

Only problem is that eventually courts at all levels are going to get so sick of repetitions of this frivolous crap that $25K sanctions become routine. Only then might this idiocy wane into frivolous appeals of penalties for being frivolous in the first place and then, when hit with further $25K frivolous penalties, diminish into frivolous sniveling, whining nothingness which will go along quite well with their designation as a vexatious litigant.

Assuming that they don't file frivolous appeals of the penalties for frivolity imposed on appeal of the penalties for frivolity which were imposed on their original frivolous court filing. In which case it will take longer to die out, but the TP will owe $50K or $75K or $100K to the courts for frivolous filings on top of the tens of thousands of dollars owed to the IRS for filing frivolous returns originally.

Yeah. That'll work. Go for it, psychotics. Living under a bridge is great fun.

Assessing a penalty on someone who is just one missing paycheck away from eviction is fruitless.

On the other hand, a sharp jolt from a cattle prod is memorable. :Axe:
