Actually on a related note, I have a personal mission to see how far I can go without hearing on a radio or in a store &c ""Merry Xmas Everybody"" by Slade (a perennial favo(u)rite on this side of the Atlantic).
Last year. the first time was in mid-November. This year, I am on track to beat the all-time record of 15 December.
