There were also news report this week of a 35-page complaint filed against Ulloa, charging a RICO conspiracy for extortion and fraud.

Once again the filing starts by declaring the filer to be "unschooled in law" and then presumes to teach it.

Some other of Ulloa's bogus liens and other craziness here (provided by Ulloa, since he was proud of it!):

I remember a thirty-second Richard Pryor riff on folks who start everything with, "Now, you understand that I am not a [lawyer|doctor|electrician|plumber|nuclear physicist], but ...". His suggestion, of course, was to STFU.grixit wrote:Once again the filing starts by declaring the filer to be "unschooled in law" and then presumes to teach it.

Re: Nothing Sticks; $5,000 in Sanctions
Ulloa's trial was supposed to start two days ago. It isn't clear from PACER whether it did or not. As those of you from other parts of the country may have heard, we here in the northeast had a little snow Sunday night into Monday.
It is clear that Ulloa filed a raft of eleventh-hour crap. A couple of them are noteworthy. For example, there is his one-sentence motion to dismiss the indictment: "this court and prosecution has (sic) not provided the Historical entirety of the Laws of Mail Fraud and that there is no proof that these Laws are valid and apply to a Child of God". I doubt that will work.
Then there is his nonsense motion to recuse Judge McAvoy. I particularly like reason 5.
Last but not least is his piece-of-epic motion in limine to prevent the govt from saying anything or introducing any evidence.
Finally, if you want a non-gibberish idea what the case is about, read the govt trial brief.

I can't open some of the Ulloa's documents at box.net. Adobe reports the documents as "damaged". While possibly accurate, that should apply to the content, rather than to the format.

I liked his reserving the rights to amend without leave, choice of law, and choice of venue.wserra wrote: Then there is his nonsense motion to recuse Judge McAvoy. I particularly like reason 5.

I checked them all, and they open fine for me (using Acrobat Reader 8.2.5 and Firefox). Anybody else have a problem? Not a lot of point in linking to files that can't be read.Arthur Rubin wrote:I can't open some of the Ulloa's documents at box.net.

Possibly they would work on my home computer, but my laptop has a different configuration, as can be determined by the fact that PDF files open in a new window.

No trouble reading them here, Wserra.
Checking the phone number that Ulloa gave in his nonsense motion brought up an insurance company, a street address, and, when I investigated that street address, two other names. David Michael Baker and Luis Wilfredo Rivera.
Hmm.
The latter seems to have a problem of his own, in connection with Ulloa:

Plus the fact he's in trouble regarding driving - on a level higher than the Dept. of Motor Vehicles, it seems:

When I went to school, there was no three. Or zero for that matter. I don't subscribe to this newfangled math you kids are dicking around with.Dezcad wrote:Do they skip 3 in NH when they count?

Hmm, apparently he tried to go into the trucking business without doing all the procedures. I'd like to see his application.ProfHenryHiggins wrote:No trouble reading them here, Wserra.

Almost.

Any idea why he has to write "Hurley-town" instead of just "Hurley"?
