3) A minor witness named Joel Edgington has come forward and claimed that he was scared into testifying that Jason bought stuff from him on ebay because the US Marshals and ATF told him that he'd be held in contempt if he ignored the subpeona and didn't testify.

Edgington's testimony was so minor, I only had two sentences of notes on him in my trial notebooks, but his paranoia-laced interview with defense counsel Sven is a real hoot.

Apparently, Edgington fled to China after the trial to hide from the US but no one in the evil gov seems to have noticed. Anyhoo, it's always interesting to see someone admit to perjury long after the trial is over and the books are closed.

Nope. But to qualify for a redo, new evidence discovered has to be material to the case.

Besides, while the guy's obvious paranoia regarding the US gov is evident from the taped conversation with the witness, nothing said in that conversation indicated that anyone has tampered with a witness.

To clarify my point on whether the witness was material to the case, the only thing the witness testified about was that he sold Jason five pieces of magnesium tape on eBay. Jason was aquitted on the explosives charge.
