Melody Denise Rose, 41, of 290 Tibbs Drive, has been charged by the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office with two counts of impersonating an official by filing false documents, Master Deputy Tony Ivey said.
Rose identifies herself as a sovereign citizen, Ivey said. On May 5 and June 2, she filed liens against the finances and property of two magistrate judges, the sheriff’s office and court officials.
The documents were identified as affidavits, and all pages, front and back, were marked with a 3-cent stamp with her name signed over it in gold ink, an incident report said.
Well, I tried to post this response in a variety of colors of ink. Didn't work. But CLEARLY, different colors of ink have different powers!! Don't they??
Little boys who tell lies grow up to be weathermen.
The reason for the gold ink has been explained to me by a sov.
Right,
Gold=Sovereign (as in sovereign coins)
Red=Blood
Blue=The sea
Black=Dead
If they sign in red this denotes blood as in the flesh and blood,
with a living soul.
They sign in blue when dealing with admiralty law. (Obviously what they believe to be admiralty law, isn't)
They sign in black when dealing with corporate law ie. dead things.
They sign in gold to show that they are a sovereign.
Makes perfect sense

Um, is this a joke? Remember Poe's Law...

A legally worthless document does not acquire any more efficacy by being written in blood. Jinsoo Kim v. Stephen Son (Cal.App. 3/9/09). A court expressed its disapproval of the lawyers for both sides of a serious lawsuit filing papers that they had evidently worked up at a fast food counter using crayons of different colors. Bradshaw v. Unity Marine Corp. (SD Tex 2001) 147 F.Supp.2d 668.

Despite the continued shortcomings of Plaintiff's supplemental submission, the Court commends Plaintiff for his vastly improved choice of crayon--Brick Red is much easier on the eyes than Goldenrod, and stands out much better amidst the mustard splotched about Plaintiff's briefing. But at the end of the day, even if you put a calico dress on it and call it Florence, a pig is still a pig.

From what I can make out, no, it isn't a joke.
Some of them really believe this, and that gold ink will give them the remedy they seek.
I know it's nuts, and you know it's nuts, but we are dealing with nutcases.

Stranger than fiction....
Come to think of it, this is the first time I've heard why color is so very important. I should have known that the explanation would be nutty.

I used to like reading Kent's opinions. Too bad about the other bad stuff going on. First Federal judge to be impeached in 20 years, not to mention the prison time.
One of these days, I'm expecting the sovruns to say that their names must be signed with a quill pen and india ink because that's how the Founders and the early sovrun citizens did it.
