Please don't feed the trolls.

Post by Demosthenes »

Hint to trolls. Any posts that 1) are on topic, 2) offer more to the conversation than crude insults, and 3) don't thoroughly disgust the cat, will be left on the forum. The rest will be used as electronic kitty litter.

So much for the Ranting and Raving!

Seems a little curious Why now? Especially with the common law rant thread?

There's a difference between ranting and raving and spewing.

It has nothing to do with you David. I got tired of reading Scooterdog's puerile crap.

I will try to keep his tantrum from having anything to do with me. What does the two boxes next to a thread mean?

That it's a popular thread, based on views (it looks like it happens around 250 views).

Errmmm...maybe 300 or so.

Any Idea how long the soooeys will be hanging around? Although I've been feeding them (I know, I'm sorry), I really am tiring of the rambling, meaningless topics.

Right. Although at first I tried to help, it definitely degenerated.

I'm on the wagon.

I'm on Paxil for OCD. My doctor told me to double-up and I think it's kicking in. I don't feel the need to respond. Soon, I won't even care enough to look.

Why in heaven's name is anyone responding to these people? Let them just declare their victory to themselves and go away. All they want is attention.

Masochism :)

I am offering paxil to anyone who wished to no longer feel the need to respond to his narcissistic rampage.

(Not really, duh. It's mine. All mine.)

Thank god that R&R gets pruned. His hissy-fits will only be visible through google's cache soon.

You're right, of course. If we stop responding to him, he'll lose the audience he needs to feel important and will probably go torture some other forum.

We should probably stop viewing the threads as well, since seeing the pageview number go up is probably giving him a similar, but lesser effect.

Heh, Tom Arnold... No one would wrestle Tom Arnold! :)

I probably should have just tried to look it up.

Sorry, webhick, but that phrasing gives much more credit than the particular knucklehead deserves. "Bite the ankles" of some other forum is a lot closer.

But in terms of not feeding the trolls, we've been good.

When a troll like SharingLights posts several messages about defecating and multiple references to under garments, don't bother responding because the thread will just be deleted. If and when SL posts anything of substance, especially about his impending eviction and homelessness, his posts will remain on the board. Just because he's obsessed with excrement doesn't mean I want to see him homeless.

Especially because he's obsessed with excrement I don't want to see him homeless. I live and work here, you know.

Ever stop to think that because he is obsessed with excrement, that may be the very reason he is facing being homeless?
