Sorry, guess I'm just a naturally sharing sort of person, wouldn't want gangsterbankster to feel left out.

It was both bogus AND significant. Bogus because it said it was a worthless investment, and significant because they said the words "Iraqi Dinar" which PROVES it's close. This was an abvious ploy to confuse dinaridjits, guild the lily so to speak!
But of course, this crowd is no stranger to cognitive dissonance, as they continue to prove with each and every statement.

If it's anything like yesterday's blurb, they say the Dinar is a bad investment because 1) there are old dinars that are no longer usable that you could be scammed with, and 2) that the dinar is not currently trading so no bank will cash it in. That is the extent of their reasoning against investing in the dinar. It makes you wonder why this came up again now with the same old invalid arguments...

No foundation and totally opinionated. They showed the old dinar not the current one. They tried to compare it with the 1 trilloin Zimbawe currency. They also stated that you could not take it to any bank and trade it, which is false. Banks will buy it back.

Another thought - While we're cashing in it wouldn't surprise me one bit to learn that 98% of those same naysayers had their pockets crammed full of that "bad deal - it's a scam" currency, meaning here the new notes, and were there cashing in too!!!

I've seen this kind of media crap for years now...why have'nt they ever warned us of ANY of the supposedly, good, bullet-proof, rock solid investments that are here in the U.S....that have tanked and literally destroyed many folks financial portfolio's...some of them being scams, and others being firms that were well established for over 100 years...Oh, that's right, we get to hear about those things after they FAIL only!...lol...

Lets keep in mind that any news anchor on nbc cnbc fox or any of them are given a script to go by and all of them new's people on there together doesn't equal one of our researchers. The people on this site get to the bottom of everything that has a bottom to it. If cnbc says one thing today fox will say the opposite tomorrow. We are close let's rely on the things we know and the articles that come out of Iraq instead of a news stream that is told what to tell us. We know the Iraqi people are sick of having worthless currencies and Iraq will be the super nation in the middle east again

United Nations:

Iraq will top the list of the great forces of the oil The United Nations said in a report released today.

That Iraq will top the list of the great forces of the oil can influence the global markets, and that sufficient reserves of oil produced over ninety years to come.

The report, prepared by the Information and Analysis Unit and the Joint United Nations agencies, UNDP and the Organization for the reality of the oil and gas in Iraq, that Iraq has oil reserves exceeding 143 billion barrels and potential reserves exceeding 200 billion barrels.

The report added that two thirds of oil and gas reserves are found in southern Iraq, and one third in the north.

The report pointed out that opportunities for growth and prosperity and job creation in the non-oil sectors, will remain limited waiting to make real efforts to diversify the economy and the transfer of oil export revenues to the private sector.

The report pointed out that oil export revenues led to the "high exchange rate of the Iraqi dinar."

FREEWAY BILL posted 3:41 PM PT - Let me just say that I have had numerous conversations with Jonny and find him to be well versed and with fabulous contacts. The hiccup today was clearly diagnosed by Jonny to me and the results by the end of the day have been most favorable. I have to say that I believe that we are indeed in the final hours of this as well. The emotions running high, I thoroughly understand the skepticism, but when this hits, everyone will be filled with joy of how smart they were to get in this in the first place! GOD BLESS THE USA

Just another bank story from Florida - Firsthand posting by Matwms at OOMF My nephew was at his bank doing business this morning and asked the teller about the Dinar. She did not know about it but another teller overhearing did. She showed my nephew the bank screen that said the Dinar is "delayed up to a week"0.0000 rates on screen. She asked my nephew how much he had and when he told the teller the amount she told him he would have to have a private banker. The Teller told him they could not cash that amount but could deposit into his account and when the main branch sent them the money it would be in his account. The teller was unable to give a % for cash in. This is a Regions bank in Florida (not my home town).

I know this has been talked about before, but I thought I would pass along what was said to me today. I have been in contact with my Congressman's office the last few days about an IRS issue, but that is a topic for another time. My Congressman is Richard A. Hanna of the 24th Congressional District in Upstate Central New York and I should include that he is a freshman first termmer.
I called his office two months ago and spoke with an aide at the time. I am less than thrilled anytime you call a congressman's office and the only one you get to speak with is an aide and can only have a meeting with an aide. Even if you know he is in his home district that week , he will not talk to you. This what they call the Little Guy Effect. Any way, I asked his aide the question about the IQD, does the UST have anyDinar as has been rumored? I even asked another question for him to answer, and in both cases two months had passed and know one got to me with an answer.
The other day while talking to one of his aides, I asked about the IQD theaide told me that she would get an answer to my question as to if the UST is holding any Dinar as rumored. Low and behold, the next day when I called back about my IRS concern the aide had an answer for me. She said that Mr. Hanna had found that the Treasury does not have any Dinar in its possesion. I for once second do not beleive the answer I was given. In all of two months no one bothered to contact me when I asked the first time and the second time they come back with a scripted answer. It sounded to nicely wrapped.
I for one tend to be of a suspicious nature, so I decide will ask for an appointment up close and personal. Yeah, I know just because I might get the guy to see me doesn't mean he will respond truthfully, but I am going to make a go at it. I also know at this point it don't mean didly, because everyone feels we are so close to an RV. This is our gov. in action again.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the post. This is the very reason I hate politicians. You have to think like a lying cheating attorney to get the truth. So Next time you talk to them the questions are:

1. Has the UST ever had in the last 10 years a large sum of IQD's in their posssession?
2. During the War didn't the US convert billions of US Dollars into IQD to support the warfighter Mission?
3. In the last year has any branch or part of the U.S. government deposited Billions in IQD anywhere other than UST or the GOI?
4. Is his (your representative) office aware of the rumors that the US Government (to mean any and all parts, direct or under its control to include contractors or intelligence agencies) had,controlled,shipped, returned, deposited, moved or caused not to be available a large sum (defined as over 1 Billion US dollars of IQD?
5. Finally mention that any answer that is given might very well show up on 60 minutes or the News should the answer prove to be incorrect.

Once the lying politician sees this he will most likely not respond at all because his disinformation would become part of an official record where he was lying. If indeed we don't he will happily respond that his office is unaware of any hidden IQD's that the US government has or recently in the last 5 years exchanged. Its kinda like Bill Clinton " I did not have sex with that woman". The question was what woman? and what is your definition of Sex? Good luck and I am not an attorney but I played one on TV. These people are too stupid to be allowed to breed. For the record, the US Treasury does not hold any Dinar, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York has a minimal amount to distribute to US banks and companies doing business in Iraq who need local currency.

I think if you substitute plain damn stupid in place of suspicious it would come closer to the facts. And as to why he can only get to talk to an aide, his questions have already marked him for the stupid brigade that most politicians don't normally want to get too close to, and want to bet the ones that did have to call him back were on the very bottom of the totem pole or on someone's list that week?

No, that is what is called the whack job effect, you're a whack job and no one wants to get any closer to you than they have too, you're either dangerous or contagious, or both and no one wants to get too close.

Why on earth would the UST want to hold a bunch or worthless paper(IQD)? My admittedly limited understanding was that we shipped large chunks of USD to Iraq to cover things, and that any "loans" we might have made would have been in USD that they would have converted to IQD for their own internal use, but otherwise it would have gone in to the banking system as electronic transactions and been done with it. If they were actually gong to hold them it would be in electronic form and when the magical mystical RV happens, they would just be updated in the system and that would be it.

This bunch really is too dumb to walk and chew gum at the same time.
