From the article, it appears to be an intentional act.Judge Roy Bean wrote:You're assuming he knows or cares.AndyK wrote:Drove the kidnap victim through several states (while making sure she knew his name) to ensure this became a federal case ???
Is he bucking for better food and cell conditions in a federal facility ?
(emphasis supplied)Walck drove west into Washington, where he got on to Interstate 90 and headed east back into Idaho, across Montana and then drove into North Dakota. The victim asked him not to take her into North Dakota, to which he replied that he wanted to take her to as many states as possible to insure her kidnapping became a federal case.
In fact, throughout the drive, Walck told the victim his full name and made sure she memorized it, and told her that after he released her to only talk with the FBI.
He then turned around and drove west back into Montana, dropping her off in front of an Albertson's supermarket in Glendive Sunday afternoon, but not before telling her he intended to head to western Montana.

Maybe he got tired of being on the outside and decided this was an easy way to get a permanent ticket back. That is definitely odd.
The fact that you sincerely and wholeheartedly believe that the “Law of Gravity” is unconstitutional and a violation of your sovereign rights, does not absolve you of adherence to it.

If he's so sovereign, why take an attorney on the public dime?Mitchell Walck, 57, made his initial court appearance in Bismarck on Thursday on charges of terrorizing, unlawful entry to a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property and being a felon in possession of a firearm. South Central District Judge Sonna Anderson ordered him held without bond.
Walck requested a public defender to represent him.
Walck spent more than nine years in prison for assaulting a peace officer in Powell County, Montana, in 2001, and also was convicted that year of burglary and theft, according to The Bismarck Tribune.
Burleigh County Assistant State's Attorney Jason Hammes said in court that Walck also has convictions for simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct, aggravated assault and theft in Pennsylvania.

Quoting from the lead of the Wikipedia article on schizophrenia, "paranoid or bizarre delusions" and "disorganized ... thinking" seem typical.Cathulhu wrote:Common error: you mean multiple personality disorder, rather than the perceptual chaos that is schizophrenia.ArthurWankspittle wrote:Schizophrenia? Mitchell Lee Walck, 57, on Monday afternoon pleaded not guilty to terrorizing, unlawful entry to a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property and felon in possession of a firearm, all Class C felonies.
South Central District Judge Gail Hagerty set Walck’s next court appearance at 1:30 p.m. June 10.
Walck’s appointed defense attorney, Bryan Denham, previously requested Walck undergo a mental health evaluation at the North Dakota State Hospital in Jamestown. The evaluation was completed, but the report in the case file is sealed.

So he pleads not guilty just to make sure it's ratcheted up a notch when sentencing comes down?Lambkin wrote:http://bismarcktribune.com/news/local/c ... 963f4.htmlA July trial has been scheduled for an Idaho man accused driving a kidnapped woman’s car to Bismarck, then entering a truck and threatening its owner.

Au contraire, mon frere! Her plan is to file the requisite "accepted for value" paperwork, along with an affadavit of non-signature. This will mean that her corporate personage will be severed! Her natural flesh and blood (and probably ciggies and beer) personage, which is being cruelly prosecuted by the bloodthirsty minions of hte crown, will be enriched lots of dough per a fee schedule that she typed up on the back of a receipt from Popeye's Chicken. Her act of stealing vehicles and such was required due to her important position within her make believe government, all of which gave her power of eminent domain over said vehicles. This all makes perfect sense according to the Magna Carta.JamesVincent wrote:

Apparently he did not admit to all of the remaining charges.Mitchell Walck pleaded guilty to four felony charges stemming from the incident late last year including terrorizing and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
