Since I'm not going to comment on religion, I'm simply noting this article:

I got no problem with them moving to Kiribati, or Somalia, for that matter.

I saw that. I was wondering who is picking up the bill for their rescue. I think they should pay it themselves. After all , wouldn't it be a bit hypocritical for them to expect (or accept) the US Gov paying it.
