PotS - "." has a point. How about if I combine the last several threads? All the posts will stay in date order.

I merged about the last ten threads on Hovind. "." is quite right: there is much to be said for making scammer info as easy to find as possible.
You're not a bother. The cleanup took less than five minutes.

LEGAL UPDATES!
I haven't seen any sign of Gea's posting of her February 17, 2014 interview with Kent Hovind.
I don't know if it took place or not.
Regarding the legal updates, however, here are my informal takes on where all of that stands.
1. Criminal Case
- The only thing going on there is the
- Court's consideration of the criminal
- contempt prospects stemming from
- Kent's efforts to thwart the sale of
- the forfeited properties. If pursued,
- the criminal contempt charge could
- result in lengthening Kent's time in
- prison.
2. Civil, Personal Income Tax Case
- Kent's appeal was dismissed for his
- failure to prosecute. Nothing has
- posted to the docket history since,
- and Kent's letter to the Clerk asking
- his case be reinstated is not liking
- to affect any change in the dismissed
- status of his case.
3. South Carolina Bivins Case
- Kent is suing over his claim that BoP
- employees prevented him from
- properly prosecuting his criminal
- case by not properly forwarding
- his legal files to him. Nothing
- meaningful happening there and
- it is likely the case will be dismissed
- for one reason or another.
4. New Hampshire Habeas Corpus Case
- Kent just filed this to try and get the
- Court to order the BoP to reconsider
- his request for an extra 6 months
- early release, for a total of 12 months.
- This case is not likely to have any
- effect on Kent's circumstances and
- prospects.
5. Tort Claim
- Kent recently filed an administrative
- request for $25,000,000.00. It's not
- likely to succeed.
6. Complaint Against Prosecutor
- Kent's administrative complaints
- against his prosecutor is not likely
- to avail any results affecting Kent's
- circumstances.
7. Complaint Against Judge(s)
- Kent's administrative complaints
- against judge(s) are not likely to
- avail any results affecting Kent's
- circumstances.
If I got anything wrong or left anything out, feel free to add to and/or correct my status report.
Sincerely,
Maury Enthusaist!

Eric Hovind's interview discussing his famous dad:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GADfTc_j9Y
I appreciated the effort, but it remains the case that Eric refused to talk to me when he has had the opportunity and the above interview still indicates to me that the Hovind family has much to hide regarding what is really going on with Kent and his current, litigious lifestyle and circumstances.
The readers' comments section following the video also reflect the effectiveness of the Hovind machine.

Kent Hovind v. RationalWiki
That appears to be Kent's new, yet to be revealed, secret lawsuit that he has been bragging about recently.
I don't know how to get the file (all or part) copied here.

Hmm, is this another case of trying to sue someone for quoting legal documents and personal statements?

The fact that you sincerely and wholeheartedly believe that the “Law of Gravity” is unconstitutional and a violation of your sovereign rights, does not absolve you of adherence to it.

Ah ha, I had a feeling I could find the RationalWiki lawsuit being discussed here. Can any verify that it was actually filed in Florida yet? I have only received a PDF copy from a third party and nothing official yet (which is also not a surprise considering our registered agent is in NM and this was only filed a few days ago).

Yes. 3:14-cv-94, FLND. The complaint was filed this past Monday. I have a good deal more to say about it, but may not have time to say it until Saturday. Suffice for the moment: it's coprolite. Another way to put that is "DinoShit".tmtoulouse wrote:Ah ha, I had a feeling I could find the RationalWiki lawsuit being discussed here. Can any verify that it was actually filed in Florida yet?

Did that 3rd party happen to be Dave Foda or traceable to Dave? He's one of my correspondents and a RationalWiki contributor of some sort to whom I sent a copy of the Complaint last night.tmtoulouse wrote:

Otherwise, what comes to my mind is SLAPP, and I was wondering if a good litigating strategy as far as RationalWiki is concerned would be an aggressive Anti-SLAPP defense, with sanctions to be imposed upon Hovind as deemed appropriate by the Court.
It's been awhile and I am not sure how the potential SLAPP/Anti-SLAPP issues go in federal district court.

Re: The Last Six Months of Kent Hovind
"the plaintiff was not convicted of "tax fraud", he was convicted of failure to pay withholding tax and structuring which are not fraud crimes under the US Code."
He neglects to mention that he was also convicted for corruptly endeavoring to obstruct and impede the due administration of the internal revenue laws by filing a false petition for bankruptcy; filing a false and frivolous lawsuit; filing a false criminal complaint; destroying records, etc.

At this point, Kent is pretty much judgment-proof.Paths of the Sea wrote:Otherwise, what comes to my mind is SLAPP, and I was wondering if a good litigating strategy as far as RationalWiki is concerned would be an aggressive Anti-SLAPP defense, with sanctions to be imposed upon Hovind as deemed appropriate by the Court.
