Seems interesting to me how Eric managed to put together, apparently, many thousands of dollars to buy back all that property
Kent referred to the sale having gone through but nowhere mentioned that it was his own family which had purchased the properties. I would have thought that this would be a good point in his own defence so I am surprised that he didn’t mention it.
Furthermore, I doubt his lawyer thinks it a good idea for his client to broadcast to the world that public executions are just the ticket to deal with rapists when same client is shortly to appear before a federal judge who, a couple of years ago in a Statement to the US Sentencing Commission, wrote:
“Indeed, proportionality in sentencing is a bedrock principle requiring the punishment to fit the crime – an idea that is “deeply rooted and frequently repeated” in our jurisprudence. “.
and yet his daddy now has to go begging for his friends to raise money for a private lawyer so he can give up his free public defender (Kent said he free lawyer was doing a good job but one wonders how they are really getting along, especially with those interviews that the free lawyer may not have been aware of).
Kent’s legal history has been bedevilled by incompetent legal advice so it is surprising (or is it?) that over the last eight years some kind, sympathetic Christian lawyer hasn’t sought out Kent to assist. Perhaps they have but Kent just won’t take their advice.
Considering the latest antics, my theory that Kent does not want to go home to face the woman he sent to federal prison for a year appears to be holding up pretty well.
Perhaps Kent has heard that Jo has managed to recover from the IRS those six (or was it eight?) confiscated guns the ministry claimed to own and that they are all cocked and loaded.
If I was Kent I would be very wary of a judge of whom it is reported:
A couple years ago, she was at a youth soccer game (she presumes to run the program as if it's under her jurisdiction...), she got gonged on the head by an errant ball, while she was absorbed in a cell phone conversation. The resulting torrent of obscenities and temper tantrum were totally inconsistent with the conduct we expect of even the least capable occupants of the federal bench. In front of her kids and many others, to boot.
