I waded through that pile of effluent the other afternoon, was really really bored, really should have found something useful to do. It is pure sovrun boilerplate BS from start to finish. If he missed a meme I missed it, except maybe the usual revoking of his signatures and I may just have missed it, but he did revoke his consent, doesn't want to play, all the rest of the usual malarkey. Nothing new or different at all, if you've read one sovrun "you can't make me" filing then this one will be familiar.

From the way it reads, I think this is more Hansen than it is Hovind, although Kent's buddy on the outside may be partly responsible, who knows. It will never see the light of say, as I can't imagine any judge letting a steaming pile like that be filed.

I just realized that Kent has made connections with Rudy Davis, aka LoneStar1776.

Rudy has posted a number of videos including some featuring his telephone interviews with Kent. Some may recognize Rudy as an Obama Birther who was visited by the Secret Service. Rudy has that video on his YouTube page.

Rudy also seems to be a geocentrist and tried to take that issue up with Kent.

If the Notice is executed by Kent and served on the court the judge will doubtless reasonably conclude that Kent's pre-sentence address to her during which he claimed ignorance of but complete respect for the law was just hypocritical, dishonest hogwash.

At 13:30 Kent admits to using Glen Stoll's credit card scam. I have never heard Kent even mention let alone admit to this before. He doesn't explain why, as an honest, law-abiding christian, he adopted this course to obtain cash for his business. But that's OK as I already know the reason.

At 22:00 he seems to admit that it was him who mailed the lis pendens but then immediately realises his mistake and backtracks.

It's an interesting discussion you are having and I see that Jerry is just belching out the standard Hovind smokescreen. With respect to the above quote by Jerry is it not correct that it is an incorrect statement of the actual legal position and, although the provision varies from State to State, in general and certainly in Florida it is perfectly proper to amend the jury instructions after closing arguments?

I sense there is something wrong with the oft-repeated claim, but I have not advanced far enough to be able to deal with that aspect of the matter explicitly.

I figure if it was that simple the case would not have proceeded as it did; and we know that Hovind and his people are quite lacking in credibility.

Maybe we will get around to resolving that specific issue as the discussion here, there or elsehwere might proceed.

Immediately after Richey had finished his closing statement to the jury Heldmyer asked the judge for a number of corrective instructions to remedy "one of the most disingenuous closing arguments that I've ever heard in my life.". One of these was a request to amend the jury instruction by the addition of a sentence to clarify the law on structuring.

Both Richey (for Kent) and Barringer (for Jo) threatened a mistrial if the proposed sentence (making clear what the law actually stated rather than the misleading account of it which Richey had just described to the jury) was added to the instructions. In the event, R or B's peremptory moves for a mistrial were immediately denied by the judge. The judge offered Richey whatever further time he required to re-address the jury on the matter but Richey refused it. Effectively, the additional clarifying sentence in the jury instructions subsequently proved to be a non-issue.

The U.S. Tax Court found Kent Hovind liable for the civil fraud penalty regarding his personal income tax liabilities. That's equivalent to a finding that he is guilty of "tax evasion".

The antics of Kent Hovind can be properly characterized as "tax evasion", with a religious twist.

Hovind is first last and foremost a tax cheat/evader/liar/fraud.

This has been proven in court, and he continues to prove it with each an every utterance and passing day.

The fact that he uses, or at least attempts to use religion as a shield for what he has done just add to the lack of luster to his character, which quite frankly I find quite deficient based on his actions alone.

The fact that he has attracted Rudy and the Gaeia nut from Canada to his side doesn't change any of that one bit.
