Dear Friend;

Freehovind.com was created to evangelize the perspective of Bible as literal truth, penned by the Creator of our universe for the instruction of His children. It achieved modest success in this regard, serving millions of pageviews and hosting a petition which received tens of thousands of signatures.

Much changed in the few years this site was online, and my perspective on existence has broadened somewhat. Life is indeed a vapor, but none can pretend to know that anything lies beyond death's veil. The present moment is ours to claim, and value can be found in all worldviews which encourage kindness, personal development, mutual respect, and intellectual honesty. Cause and effect are often confused in this regard - we as individuals often deserve much of the credit given stories to which we cling for support.

Please understand and absolve the perspectives I have formerly shared. It is my sincerest wish that we both discover potential beyond expectations.

Rudy is having a very hard life/reality. No one, except maybe Orly, takes him seriously, and he is generally a laughingstock, even among birthers. Orly puts up with him because he will drive her around for FREE whenever she is in town, and he generally follows her line. His latest frustration is in trying to convert Hovind away from the heresy of Heliocentrism. That isn't working any better than any of his other grand schemes.

This evening Rudy posted today's interview between Kent, Rudy, and Rudy's wife.

Rudy mentions having hosted a church even featuring Joe Bannister a couple of years ago and Kent, of course, was familiar with that name.

Kent also mentioned another jailhouse fellow he was chumming with called Castleberry who also had an IRS case going and may have gone to trial today.

I looked it up and John David Castleberry and his associates were indicted on fraud involving the OID scheme.

Rudy indicated he was willing to interview Castleberry.

Kent is really going to have quite a peanut gallery by the time February 9 rolls around; with his own family conspicuously absent, it appears.

Jerry Rose and The Kent Hovind Proposition!

Proposition for Discussion

Withdrawing less than $10,000 in a single transaction
with the intent to evade bank reporting requirements
is a violation of the law and regulations and was at
the time of the Hovind withdrawals in question and
was the legal standard used to convict Kent Hovind
of “structuring”.

Based on Jerry's latest comments I have registered Jerry as both affirming and denying the proposition.

Perhaps Jerry will later decide on one or the other and not the UNreasonable both.

My analysis

Jerry wrote, in part:

- "(T)o be clear, I deny because I believe (admittedly
- with bias towards my brother in the Lord Kent Hovind),
- that he was convicted not by any legal standard, but
- rather railroaded in a kangaroo court."

So, it appears Jerry agrees with me as to the statement of the legal standard and my claim that Kent and his people typically misrepresent the law on structuring.

That's some progress.

However, what Jerry denies is, despite the evidence such as Kent's indictment, the course taken in the trial, and the evidence presented at trial, that the conviction was not based on the law and the evidence against Kent, which he chose not to even attempt to rebut, but rather simply because someone was out to "get Kent Hovind".

That's some progress.

One cannot reasonably accept Jerry's claim that that legal standard, which is the legal standard, was not used to convict Kent.

It's in the indictment.
The evidence presented at trial was based on that standard.
The jury verdict was based on that legal standard.

One can accept that Jerry is making the claim, but one cannot accept Jerry's claim as reasonable or anything but Jerry's effort to be UNreasonable in his effort to show his support for Kent Hovind and keep from agreeing with me, Robert Baty.

Wikipedia says:

"A kangaroo court is a judicial tribunal or assembly
that blatantly disregards recognized standards of law
or justice, and often carries little or no official standing
in the territory within which it resides."

Really, that's where Jerry wants to go!

Jerry is proposing that the legal standard and the evidence "used" to convict Kent was merely a ruse to cover for an UNjust prosecution by a tribunal without jurisdiction over Kent Hovind!

Really, Jerry, that is where you are going with this?

Jerry has as much as admitted that I've got the "recognized standard of law" down pat and Jerry can't "reasonably" deny it was "used" to convict Kent Hovind.

So, that leaves Jerry with his subjective, admittedly biased, unsubstantiated claims that the prosecution of Kent Hovind was in "disregard of justice" and that the federal district court wherein he was prosecuted and the federal grand jury that brought the indictment have "little or no official standing in the territory within which they reside".

Jerry can deal with that or not as he sees fit. I think we see where Jerry is coming from and his demonstrations here are very helpful and representative, perhaps, of the best Kent and his people can do. However, I would rather Kent or his official surrogate make an appearance and make it official as to Kent's agreement with me on these fundamental matters.

Jerry, after addressing Justin's comments, wrote:

- "I (Jerry Rose) hope many people read you guys,
- the more aware people are of guys like you and
- your antics the better."

It's not about us and our antics, Jerry, but I share your sentiments about hoping more people pick up on the story. I think Kent's upcoming trial, especially in light of the spectacle that his people want to make of it, get the spotlight and people become more aware of Kent's adult, criminal career and the broader problem with what is commonly referred to as the "sovereign citizen" movement.

It would seem Hansen is real unclear on the concept of standby counsel. He wanted to represent himself, so either he gets to do that or let someone else do it, but he can't have it both ways which is about what it sounds like he is trying to do.

If I understand that list correctly, it's a list where he wants the Judge to order his stand-by counsel to file "sov-cit" filings with the Court.

J. Christopher Klotz files this Motion to request he Court clarify the role of counsel concerning his legal relationship with Paul J. Hansen. In support of this Motion, counsel presents:

1. Counsel was appointed by the Court to act as standby counsel for Mr. Hansen.

2. Counsel has been requested to undertake certain tasks that may or may not fall within the scope of a lawyer appointed to act as standby counsel. Further, it is unclear if Mr. Hansen wishes, or does not wish, to have an attorney appointed to act fully as an attorney in fact as opposed to standby counsel. Counsel wishes to clarify on the record the parameters of his role and to establish the role required by the Court and requested by the Client.
