In a sense he's right. Timeline (as I understand):

• Endowment Mortgage = Interest only Mortgage + Endowment/Assurance Policy

• Cash out Endowment/Assurance Policy

Left with:

• Interest only Mortgage

Where I'd disagree with him is that the "they" he is referring to is not who he should be referring to.

"They" are not B&B which is who I believe Guy Taylor is referring too unless he's lying by misdirection. In other words, in his mind he is thinking Crawfords but choosing his words to leave the impression he means B&B.

They are the Crawfords.

By no longer paying into the Endowment Policy and it triggering a payout the Crawfords are responsible they ended up with an interest only Mortgage.

DEFINITION of 'Endowment Loan'

A type of mortgage in which the borrower makes only interest payments on the mortgage

An endowment loan IS by definition an interest only loan. You can't change an endowment loan to an interest only loan because they're the same thing.

I agree.

The endowment is the life insurance / assurance policy that will pay out the lump sum on maturity (or death) which will (hopefully) pay off the capital.

Exactly - almost.

With the difference being whether there is - or is not - an endowment policy....

There absolutely was supposed to be but when someone is fool enough to stop paying into it and cashes it out shortly after it's created - they kind of shoot themselves in the knees, metaphorically speaking.

Im not exactly sure how anyone can help but sharing here just incase. Nita Benfield went to an arranged meeting with police in coventry today to report fraud by the solicitors involved with (im guessing, as i know thats what shes fighting her mortgage )she got jumped on by 10 officers hand cuffed and carted off to walgraves hospital mental section. Her son is asking if anyone knows a way to help her. Ive asked for more details. Poor love hope shes ok. The post was put up by her son on her personal profile and I also seen it in the kate of gia group xx

Seems a shame TBH, no idea how Ebert and Taylor are still active if this has happened to her. I'm just wondering what she could have possibly said to end up getting sectioned????
