Dallas shooting

Have we heard anything about this guy? James Boulware?

DALLAS (Reuters) - A man suspected of attacking Dallas Police headquarters early on Saturday, spraying it with gunfire and leaving explosive devices around the building, was shot and likely killed by snipers a few hours later, police said.

Authorities believe the attacker was acting alone, motivated by personal grievances and had no known connection to any terrorist groups, Dallas Police Chief David Brown said.

He said police snipers shot the suspect through the windshield of a van in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant about 10 miles (16 km) south of the city. A robot was checking the van for explosives.

Multiple run-ins with DPD for family-related issues.

I think we may hear that he had been warned about (or may even have been accused of) making "terroristic threats." In those cases, CPS will remove children and apparently this guy decided to do as much damage as he could before committing suicide by cop.

The man police say is a suspect in the attack on their headquarters had a troubled family history that included a custody battle with his own mother and one report of family violence.

A 2013 arrest warrant affidavit for James Boulware out of Dallas County detailed the family violence incident between Boulware and his mother, and included allegations that he appeared “delusional.”

Reached in Carrollton, the suspect’s father, Jim Boulware of Carrollton, said his son has blamed police for losing custody of his own child, who is now in middle school. But he never expected anything like today’s events.

He's being scapegoated. The real shooter was behind the grassy knoll.
