Shaun Kranish's day in court.

He secretly recorded the court proceedings by using a cell phone to call the NH Free voicemail system.

If I remember correctly, this is in Illinois and therefore is probably in violation of Illinois Revised Statute Section 720, Article 14 Eavesdropping:
(720 ILCS 5/14‑2) (from Ch. 38, par. 14‑2)
Sec. 14‑2. Elements of the offense; affirmative defense.
(a) A person commits eavesdropping when he:
(1) Knowingly and intentionally uses an
eavesdropping device for the purpose of hearing or recording all or any part of any conversation or intercepts, retains, or transcribes electronic communication unless he does so (A) with the consent of all of the parties to such conversation or electronic communication or (B) in accordance with Article 108A or Article 108B of the "Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963", approved August 14, 1963, as amended;
Punishment for violation:
720 ILCS 5/14‑4) (from Ch. 38, par. 14‑4)
Sec. 14‑4. Sentence.
(a) Eavesdropping, for a first offense, is a Class 4 felony and, for a second or subsequent offense, is a Class 3 felony.

In any event, there is no doubt that SK will have many, many issues with the law given his outlook and conduct to date so far.

I could only hear Kranish's side of the exchanges, but it sounded like Kranish was not only trying to self-decide what laws would apply to him, but also self-decide the court procedures to be followed in his case.

And don't forget his constant whining about leaving the state.

Shouldn't he have claimed he was never "in" the state to begin with? That by avoiding the "legal nexus" he had succeeded in remaining only in the parallel dimension of the common law republic?
