Rumour on the streets says you've purchased it with a view to turning it into a hostel for homeless poultry.

It looks as if this has the potential to get interesting with the Crawford crew stirring it up again when they find out.

What a wonderful circle of life it would be if Tom has bought it back. The B&B would then be able to go after it to pay off the shortfall.

Are we all up for that?

No, UKAR bought it back - they had to because the Crawfords said they must (OR ELSE, BOOM)

They are going to gift wrap it and that man in a red suit with a beard is going to deliver it - and they will all live happily ever after.

Have any of the Crawfords picked up on the fact that there is another new owner yet?

I'm not on FB so don't get the ranting and raving of their groups.

Good afternoon,

We’ve had instructions to withdraw this property from the auction on Tuesday 3rd November.

We are no longer handling the property.

Kind regards
'We are no longer handling the property' is an odd statement to make.

If they have sold the property prior to auction, surely they would have said as much and the rightmove listing would have been changed to sold subject to contract, which it isn't or just sold. All agents like to do this if they have sold the property because it looks good from a marketing perspective.

I'm wondering if the auction house has got wind of a rent a mob and have 'taken a view', as they say.

They will have other properties to sell on the day and would not want the auction to be disrupted.

It's not unusual for properties to not make it to the auction if the vendor receives an offer & accepts it. This development is nothing to do with rent a mob, they'd be gloating if it was.

I suspect the vendor has had an offer & taken it. Even if it was only £60k that's a decent return in a few months.

This story just keeps on giving..

Yes, I realise this, so why didn't the auction house say this in their communication?

To say, 'we are no longer handling this property' implies, to me, something else.

I was wondering about the rent a mob connection, as you know (that was all it was- a postulation) and there could have been a number of reasons why they're no longer 'handling the property' (the vendor deciding not to sell, not happy with their marketing etc.)

You might think that but I couldn't possibly comment. Not sure how many more Ewles pies I can eat before I have stroke, they sure do pack a lot of meat in a small space.

I'm growing quite fond of Nottingham.

Apparently they have picked up on it on EFOTB.
The general concensus is that it is very fishy, they reckon it is a ruse and that it will still be sold and they should go along anyway!
