Indeed it is, but it seems to have only recently come to contributors notice now that all the efforts to commit him for fraud have failed.
Unfortunately the hope that Peter's activities would ignite an intelligent discussion on our money system have failed too, a too narrow view being taken .
Henry Ford's observation that if the people really understood how the banking system worked it would cause a revolution is still sadly true today.

The question people could actually ask when they look at people like PoE is to wonder at the small but frustrating
problems he faces, I/e his paypal account/bank etc.
Do some among you imagine that these financial organisations were just 'on the ball'?.
Steps taken to frustrate con men usually come from the shadows.
