interesting.

Yes, the early press reports coming in indicated that quite a few people felt that the Bundys showed up and incited the takeover. which was not in the plans of the original protest.

and rebellion is contrary to the bible, not to get religious. but it is equal to witchcraft and the penalty is death according to the bible.

Reliable or not, the description of the situation would be reasonable - note I do not say it's factual or the truth.

That's part of the problem with the freeman-way: when you have no clear leader, no clear party in position to determine a resolution to conflict (which will occur between humans no matter how friendly they are), no clear set of rules you all agree to follow ...

... and you end up with two stubborn individuals who will not give ground or listen to the others point of view ...

... the result is chaos - conflict - someone will get hurt which is only going to increase hostilities.

Infighting is eventually expected in such a situation. Left alone - assuming the OPCAs will leave the rest of us alone - the end result is that they destroy their own group - they destroy themselves.

I think the story is credible, given the mix of personalities involved and the lack of organization and long-range planning.

And now another militia group has shown up, on the pretense of preventing another "Waco."

A lot of these true American patriots seem to have a lot of time on their hands. Employment concerns don't appear to be an issue.

Considering the RWNJ are all in Oregon at the wildlife refuge, maybe this is an opportune moment for the BLM to round up cattle in Montana or Nevada.

I just saw this story online:

Recognize any names, boys and girls? Rumor has it that someone mentioned in the story is coming out with a book one of these years....

On Saturday, Ammon Bundy's mother, Carol Bundy, sent an email to supporters asking them to send her son's group supplies from a list of more than 80 items, including sleeping bags, wool socks, cigarettes, toiletries, food, coffee and "French Vanilla Creamer."

Media seems to be shifting from calling them terrorists to making fun of them for not bringing enough food.

Just another sign that Ammon lacks leadership skills, foresight and the ability to plan for the long-term. He obviously thought this was going be a repeat of what happened in Bunkerville, and rushed in so that he could be in the spotlight.

Unfortunately since the FBI is concerned about ratcheting up the situation, Ammon may get re-supplied to some degree. But I suspsect that the typical Freeman stinginess will kick in at some point, and he will have to leave Oregon.
