The pop up ad was on the GOODF site for a couple of days earlier this week.

Somebody started this thread over on GOODF and Haining replied that they were running a test for a couple of days, thus implying, to me, that it was a phone number for that site -

Well most of these people love the telephone.....adore making annoying making pointless phone calls and filming themselves doing it, it would be just plain rude not to return the compliment .

Thank you, Boys & Girls, for the info re. the GOODfy Freephone number.
I couldn't sleep last night so was doing a little noseying out of boredness.

The reason for doing so was because the Aloe Vera thing is part of an MLM/Pyramidy thingy,
the Pointy Part of The Pyramid being Forever Living Products, H.Q.'d in The U.S.

It seemed, to me, not too unbelievable for a scam business to provide a tel. no. to another scam.
Obviously, Freephone numbers aren't free.
The owner pays for the service and for the cost of calls received on it.
This intrigued me.

The Director of Aloe Vera is also director of nine other companies.
'Debt Management' is a recurring theme.

I'll put my notes here, just in case anyone wants to play with them or if the names ring a bell.

And nobody should doubt that he practices what he preaches. His web of trading companies and attractive websites (partial list below) seem very well designed to increase traffic and conversions. Anyone who is worried by debt or insolvency will be guided towards one of Mr Baddeley's services, and presumably charged a fee for the advice received.

I don't want to assume that Mr Baddeley is a grubby internet spiv in the style of Craig Crawford, he might in fact be a highly responsible and expert financial advisor (sorry, had to stifle a giggle there). But with every possible charitable assumption it still seems curious that GOOFy are now redirecting their desperate visitors to a private, fee-charging financial services provider.

Is GOOFy now just another opportunity to 'increase traffic and conversions', and what commission arrangement is Jon Witterick taking from this?

Without wanting to point out the obvious here but Get Out Of Debt Free and Colon have a long history of making money out of the people that go to that website out of desperation and sometimes even as a last resort.

There is a long list of snake oil sales man, such as Bali Mann and Peter Fraud of England that have made 'donations' to ensure that they are heavily promoted by GOODF and Colon.

The telephone number is not actually for GOODF but rather a call center for the above companies. Colon and GOODF have no doubt been paid by these companies to be use the GOODF name and to be able to appear to be GOODF when it is really just a paid for advert.

When will the GOODFer's realise they are nothing but a cash cow for Colon and GOODF

Haven't checked into this particular number, but a Freephone number can be directed to any landline.
Could be one bloke sat in a cupboard, you in your shed, or a flat in Manchester.
Not necessarily a call centre.
They're pretty cheap to buy and maintain. The calls aren't too expensive either.

The only interesting(?) point was that it was owned by someone who has a history of flooding the interwebs with sites selling IVA's etc., to people who are down on their luck.
