Don't know what the rules are these days but when JSA started it had both contributions based and income based variations JSA(conts) based on your NI contributions or JSA (IS Income Support equivalent). Conts was better and simpler, you had paid the NI in the previous (two min?) years, you got JSA. The alternative was income and circumstance based and a pain to work out even with a computer.

ADR - American Depository Receipts, how foreign shares are traded on the US exchange, usually a bundle of UK shares to one ADR. Kind of like not terribly earth shattering, except to someone like Ceylon, who is totally clueless.

Allow me to present my case!

I believe we forum member are been lied to, systematically!

I was banned recently for voicing concerns that perhaps a few moderators are not acting in our interests!

It seems awful odd to me that evictions of member homes seem to be rising on a near weekly bases now!

Apart from his awful annoying voice, Colon's advice of " never get a mortgage to buy a house - I'm glad I rent" is long term economic illiteracy of the highest order. If you can afford the repayments and have a deposit then the mortgage for your own home is, over time, a great way to make tax free gains via capital appreciation. In addition, by the time you enter your 60's you should be close to having paid off your mortgage and can live in the house for nothing ( Unless you are a hat wearing fool or a pony tailed tosser ).

It is shocking to think there may be people who listened to Colon's rambling stand up routine and would consider taking his advice.
