So George has had a knock back from HMRC due to his vexatious requests. But he doesn't let that stop him carrying on his folly with others. No Sir!
Yesterday he raised another 5 requests. All equally stupid and all most likely going to return "incorrect" information. To paraphrase
1 - Confirm that mortgages illegal and I can refuse to pay. And by the way, the regulator tells me that you have to tell me.
2 - Confirm that only commercial properties must pay TV licencing
3 - Confirm that only commercial properties must pay council tax
4 - Confirm that you are going to re introduce the Bradbury pound
5 - Confirm how I can de-register my car.
And here how each will go.
Answer:
This is a request for advice and not a FOI request. We are answering this as a normal business query.... Dont be a dick/Of course you have to pay/no idea what you are on about/you can't (delete as appropriate)
George:
Outrage! How can you do your job if you cant answer a simple question. I complain etc
Answer:
Tough. It's not a FOI request. Now go away and leave us alone
And certainly DIDN'T give him the answers he was fishing for. Otherwise, just more meaningless nonsense on his part.
The fact that you sincerely and wholeheartedly believe that the “Law of Gravity” is unconstitutional and a violation of your sovereign rights, does not absolve you of adherence to it.
Having asked tv licensing how they distinguish between commercial and non commercial property , he gets a simple answer. They don't. Every address needs a license if they watch live tv, so why would they care?
Seems innocent enough to me, but not to our hero George!
Thank you for your response and confirmation that you do not have a classification of ‘non-commercial’
or ‘non-business’ properties - nor whether these properties are exempt from having to pay for a TV license.
It follows therefore, that if men and women who live in 'non-commercial' or 'non-business' properties, you are not in a position to ascertain if these men and women are exempt from paying the BBC TV Licensing fee.
Am I right in my understanding please.
As I understand that men and women living in 'non-commercial' or 'non-business' properties are exempt from having to pay water, gas and electricity charges; and if this is true - why would there be a need for these same men and women to have to pay to watch television.
What the fuck is George on about? He seems to think that those of us who live in non-commercial properties (aka residential properties) are exempt from paying for their water, gas and electricity.

I would imagine the people at TVL, an organisation for which I have nothing but contempt by the way, will be wondering the same thing.
Coming up next. George asks for confirmation that as a private, non-commercial entity he doesn't have to pay for his groceries.

SANDY: That's your actual Latin.
HORNE: What does it mean?
JULIAN: I dunno - I got it off a bottle of horse rub, but it sounds good, doesn't it?

He shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the internet.
Has no one linked these posts in to one of his FOI requests, I wonder what the reaction would be to his reading that his every idiot request is being commented on !
Thank you for your email of 11 August in which you raise the following questions relating to financial
institutions that provide mortgages:
‘1. Must the financial institution sign the mortgage deed or agreement.
2. Must the financial institution be defined as the lender on the mortgage deed or agreement.
3. Must the financial institution provide the required funds from their own assets; and not from any
other source, in order to fund the required mortgage deed or agreement.
4. Must the financial institutions require the power of attorney to be granted by the men and
women who sign their mortgage deeds or agreements.’
The Prudential Regulation Authority (‘PRA’) is a subsidiary of the Bank of England and legally became
responsible for the prudential supervision of banks and other institutions from 1 April 2013. This response
is on behalf of the PRA.
May I first explain that the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (‘FoI Act’) provides a right of access to
recorded information held by a public authority. It does not require a public authority to answer general
questions on a subject matter as is the case in this instance.
In view of the nature of your questions you may wish to consult one of the many sources and websites
which cover the kind of matters raised in your email.

In the U.S., the response would be "Your request requires our staff to research all current and former versions of the tax code, and review every single tax return ever submitted. We estimate this will take 12,150,000 hours, billable at $200 per hour. For us to begin fulfilling this request, please send $2.43 billion dollars to the enclosed address. We estimate that this FOI request will be completed approximately August 14, 2475. Please note that any response to your request would reflect only federal taxes, not any state or local ones."
