Feline surgery
One of our watchcats (if anything happens, he'll watch it) recently had a urinary tract infection and bladder stones requiring surgery. In addition to the anti-inflammatory medication for his continuing inflammatory bowel syndrome, anti-nausea medication, and lysine to reduce the effects of his herpes (which affects cats, dogs, and horses differently than humans), he has had antibiotics, probiotics, pain medication (applied to the ear), and antivirals (applied to the eye). He's due back for another recheck Friday to verify the UTI is resolved and to confirm kidney function, which other tests showed might be problematic after the surgery.

Way too much fun for any one or even a group of cats. My sympathies to you both.
The fact that you sincerely and wholeheartedly believe that the “Law of Gravity” is unconstitutional and a violation of your sovereign rights, does not absolve you of adherence to it.

Re: Feline surgery
Sorry to hear about your cat, Arthur.
Been there. We called one of ours "5K" because that's what he cost over the years with his urinary problems. We finally had to put him down at the age of 15 years.
