-------------------------------------------
TALKS WITH A POE CUSTOMER, PT. 2
-------------------------------------------

So a few posts back I ended up having an enlightening conversation with Hayles Owen, who messaged me on FB months after I sent her a sincere plea not to continue down the Peter Rabbit hole. At the same time - way back in November - I also sent the same message to Tim Willis (who was asking PoE for advice on how to shoot himself in both feet with the 'A4V' method of debt eradication.

Months later, completely out of the blue, Tim messaged back and we had a brief chat. As always, make of this what you will.

I probably didn't go about this conversation in the best way, but it happened at 3AM and I was groggy.

My messages in black, his in blue.

Mate, just a friendly plea to implore you not to go down the Peter of England rabbit hole. He's an out and out conman who has already stolen your paddle, and is now sending you down the creek - if you follow his 'advice', you'll be in even worse financial/legal trouble than you are now and like countless others have experienced, he'll greet you with silence once you realise it (or block you.)

Thanks Zeke, i don't go down anyone elses rabbitholes, happy to make my own, but A4V is all good and i have a better one now... and the thing that no-one seems to say is you have to endorse the top back of the document and charge to the all caps name rather than the issuer of the bill you are settling... actually looking at copyright of name at the moment, interesting stuff... thanks for the heads up, i always do due dilligence. :D

A4V and 'copyright of name' is exactly the same kind of nonsense that Peter peddles. It all sounds like some magic, clever method to make debt vanish and is dressed up with big words to make it look believable, but it simply does not work. Never. Not once. You have not stumbled across the secret method that makes the debt you rightly owe disappear.

So i take it you have tried these things and they did not work? otherwise it is simply your opinion... i quite happily try stuff if i find it accords with what i have learned so far which is plenty... i owe no debt to anyone... but thanks for the concern, i have already written off plenty using my past understanding and that grows every day... :D

I haven't tried any of it, no. I don't need to - with even just a tiny bit of research, it's obvious that none of this nonsense works. On the contrary, it lands people in prison and/or in further financial trouble; the only people who buy into GOODF schemes are those in an extremely desperate situation and unable/unwilling to see through the bullshit. You're one in a long line of 'enlightened' people who have 'got it all figured out'... ten a penny, and it has never once worked out for any of them before you.

Conversely, I've adopted a different approach: if I owe money for a good or service, I do my best to pay it. Kinda works?

One of us will sleep soundly tonight. The other will scrabble around on forums for nonsensical legal jargon they can try to use to stop bailiffs knocking at the door.

Goodnight mate.

Why would you scrabble around on forums for nonsensical legal jargon? sounds fruitless to me, i study law itself, you know read the actual law... UCC and Copyright are tops... your position is very noble but uninformed. if you would like one good piece, look at UCC §1-308 "without prejudice" for signature waiver to prevent theft of POA when you give away your signature... it's a small thing with a lot of protection from Maritime presentments... be well Zeke and try not to be so judgmental... we all walk the way we choose. :D

I've heard all this Maritime/Copyright woo a hundred times before, Tim. A close relative of mine is a lawyer - i.e an actual lawyer, not someone who 'studies things on the internet' - and everyone at her firm finds this stuff laughable.

What debt are you trying to avoid, anyway? Must be pretty serious.

Zeke, i don't know you or why you are so interested to dissuade me from something or other, whatever it is you believe i am doing... none of your business and this is wasting my time... my missions vary greatly as to what i am called on to do or learn and i am the one that asks the questions to find the answers. I don't need the benefit of another to steer me. I told you, i owe nothing to anyone. now leave it... and go have fun somewhere.... be well :D

Fair enough. I shall leave you to it, and sincerely wish you all the best. Take care.

The UCC is the Uniform Commercial Code. This is American legislation and is not valid law in Britain.

So good luck to him with that.

Tim is an idiot, and if he thinks the UCC, which is US law, has any effect in the UK he is also a fool. But then we've already pretty well established that by this point.

I don't recall "rider of the short bus", and I'm an American.

Urban dictionary (which takes suggestions without much editing or fact-checking) suggests (all spelling errors are theirs):
ride the short bus
V. A derrogatory phrase derived from the smaller school bus used to ferry special education students to and from school.
  1. To act in an immature or stupid way.
  2. To be an immature or stupid person.
  3. To drive an especially large S.U.V.

I heard "short bus" a lot in the 80s and 90s. The etymology  is that smaller buses were used to ferry the special needs children to school, while normal children took the full-size bus. It was thus a synonym for "retard."

I never found this very accurate, as the smaller buses were used for a variety of purposes. It's also less socially acceptable now to insult people in this fashion. So you don't hear it as much anymore.

I've certainly never heard it applied to someone that drives a SUV.

I never got that one. There were no short buses at my high school or junior high, and no long ones at any of the elementary schools i went to. All the kids rode the same buses.

German FB post - upcoming tour dates have leaked:
Peter of England on 25.3. In Graz on. 1.4. In Salzburg and Vienna in 8.4.
No specifics as of yet.

Anyone know what this is all in reference to?

Quick update on the ravensburger process: As of 02.03.2017, today I experienced first hand that the revision has been discarded. This is the criminal instance apparently closed. Next week it will be further talks to it, if, or rather the other way as it can be gone. This is so not acceptable!!!

Ravensburg is where they had that court case and lost. I am guessing that the process is something dreamed up by Peter for the suckers to try to use Re's

Guessing Klaus tried the new process and it failed

If this is the case I'm thinking of, failed is putting it mildly. There was one of them that collected some jail time as I recall. I do know the one PoE was crowing about for a while there was a resounding failure on all fronts.

Shouldn't it be the "Vienna process", in light of that localities' recent announcement they would not prosecute WeRe check writers? WeRe Bank lost much more decisively in Ravensburg.

I'm sorry, but I have to fine you 500 Quatloo for that gratuitous pun. Pay Webhick in the dungeon, or report for intern duty if you're unable to pay at this time.

Just had a message from a Quatloosian regarding PoE's Vienna meet-up, saying he or she may be up for going along in person if more details surface.

I'll post my reply here as it's pertinent to the group in response to them not being able to find the German FB page (blanked out their name as it was a PM and I don't know if they wanted to retain anonymity):
Hey XXXXX - that's fantastic news! It'd certainly be good to get a Quatloosian in on the ground for that. I'm sure we could all do a collection if you wanted money to cover the expenses; I for one would be happy to contribute.

The FB page is just called 'WeRe Bank' and has a daisy as its profile pic, but I'm pretty sure you have to request access to join. However, I've just checked and more details have surfaced (posting onto the main board now):

That link takes you to a page where you can purchase his new cards. There are a couple of interesting things in there:

3. You've still gotta pay for Were membership.

4. He's started accepting RE! Although you do need to give him your RE, at 3 times the price he sold them to you for.

5. I know RE is worthless, so it's the most pointless humanitarian action of all time, but is POE trying to improve his PR?
