The usual predictable nonsense
Many of the UK Freeman lot seen to believe because the council drafts the summons it isn't a proper court document. I have always wondered why they think that, but the above answer really explains the situation well. Now can someone explain why they don't believe the courts are real? There is no statute which authorises (or prevents) a council preparing a summons on the court's behalf. Under section 51 of the Magistrates' Court Act 1980 (http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1980..., a person can apply to the Magistrates' Court for a summons. If it is granted, it is customary that the person applying drafts their own summons, which in the case of Council Tax is the Local Authority.
The process of printing and posting of the summons (the issue of which has first been authorised / approved by a magistrate or legal adviser) can be completed by the complainant. It is necessary to distinguish between issuing a summons and the printing and serving of such summons. Only a court can issue a summons, therefore no statute exists allowing Local Authorities to issue summons. The printing and serving (i.e. posting or otherwise delivering) of the summons is customarily done by the complainant.

I think they had a video on Ceylon's channel a few days ago. They've already been evicted, just keep on breaking back in. Endowment mortgage, fraud, no warrant, blah blah blah.
Surely that should be 2022?JimUk1 wrote:

Sure is. They are worthy candidates to replace the aptly named Raving Loony party!rumpelstilzchen wrote:Surely that should be 2022?JimUk1 wrote:

The Monster Raving Loony Party makes more sense than this lot. Besides they'd never scrape enough together for a deposit (currently £500 IIRC).JimUk1 wrote:Sure is. the background to this seems to be a bankrupted coach company he ran. It was liquidated late 2016 and the fall out seems to be happening.
In true FOOTlie style, on the court papers, 'the debtor company not attending'. Fair enough, wouldnt want to be creating joinder lol
In fact, there have been 3 bus companies at that address in quick succession - lasting a few years at a time.
