PLD is going to be rebranded , and name suggestions are open to everyone !

The word rebel is to be replaced. I’m going for Lawful Failure.
Good morning rebels, family and friends....

Firstly, thank you for helping out recently it means a lot and keeps the fire in my belly strong.

The reason for this post is to find out what people think about changing the name of the movement slightly, since not everyone is comfortable with the word rebel or rebellion.

For the sake of unity I have no problem personally with calling us us the 'Law restoration Group'...its more inline with the Chartist movement and less scary for those who don't know what rebellion really means.

Any thaughts?

"The Doomed Platoon"

It is hard tothink of a title with any connection to reality that does not involve a degree of disparagement.

The PLDers comparing themselves to the Chartists is ridiculous.

For a start the Chartists were a genuine mass movement with achievable and worthy aims - and though it took a long time, all the Chartist aims except an annual Parliament (meaning a general election every year) were eventually met.

The PLD’s grievances boil down to ignoring any law, tax or debt they’d personally rather ignore.

Dissenters they may be, Practical and Lawful they are not.

I wonder what they’d do if one of the Lords they’ve supposedly “sworn fealty” to started giving them orders....

Inmate Spencer speaks !
This is just food for thought for you and thanks for those who turned up at the Derby event. I just wish to tell you this bit for now. I was told that any had stayed behind demanding my release..Bless You all. More tomorrow. I arrived at Nottingham Prison from Derby Magistrates Court, when asked to approach the reception desk by a SGT Warden etc, he said could you confirm your name please, are you Charles Spencer, I said No, confused look on his face, so he asked me again was I Charles Spencer, I said NO, ,a confused look on his face again.I said I am CHARLES ERNEST SPENCER , and declared this when I was put into the cells at Derby Magistrates Court, and signed my name on all the forms I had to do so as Charles Ernest Spencer, this including my personnel gear being bagged up and sealed etc. He lost for words on hearing my real name, and I could see clearly on a lot of forms sent by Derby Magistrates Court , they had said I was Charles Spencer, a Name that I have never answered to. The name on my passport and birth certificate, given by my parents, is CHARLES ERNEST SPENCER, and I am in LAW answerable only to that name etc. He not answering me, I said in effect I could just walk on out of there, and nothing that they can do....but will not do so, as I wait for them to admit the wrong man is in Court etc, the longer they take, more compensation and damages I will sue for.I released after 4 days. Ha ha

Back from martyrdom and bizzarely claiming to be the "all caps name". Hasn't he got that the wrong way round?

I enjoy the fact he thinks he can just ‘walk out of prison ‘ and thinks the fact they didn’t use his middle name will increase his compo.

Deluded .his catalogue wife must be really proud .

When I was young my Grandad used to sing a song all the while and I remembered this verse where the lyrics were apt;

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains,
The jails are made of tin.
And you can walk right out again,
As soon as you are in.

Charles “I could just walk out and there’d be nothing they could do” is truly deluded.

An absolute classic written by Harry McClintock and Sterling Sherwin and recorded by Harry in 1928.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOB3zo7Kg-o
One evening as the sun went down
And the jungle fires were burning,
Down the track came a hobo hiking,
And he said, "Boys, I'm not turning;
I'm headed for a land that's far away
Beside the crystal fountains
So come with me, we'll go and see
The Big Rock Candy Mountains.

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains,
There's a land that's fair and bright,
Where the handouts grow on bushes
And you sleep out every night.
Where the boxcars all are empty
And the sun shines every day
On the birds and the bees
And the cigarette trees
The lemonade springs
Where the bluebird sings
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains.

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains
All the cops have wooden legs
And the bulldogs all have rubber teeth
And the hens lay soft-boiled eggs
The farmers' trees are full of fruit
And the barns are full of hay
Oh I'm bound to go
Where there ain't no snow
Where the rain don't fall
The winds don't blow
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains.

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains
You never change your socks
And the little streams of alcohol
Come trickling down the rocks
The brakemen have to tip their hats
And the railway bulls are blind
There's a lake of stew
And of whiskey too
You can paddle all around them
In a big canoe
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains.

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains,
The jails are made of tin.
And you can walk right out again,
As soon as you are in.
There ain't no short-handled shovels,
No axes, saws nor picks,
I'm bound to stay
Where you sleep all day,
Where they hung the jerk
That invented work
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains ...
I'll see you all this coming fall
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains.
