Looks like tomorrow is going to be a big day for the CLCers which could split their resources. Isn't Rab C Sproul also due in court?

Obviously this calls for an emergency meeting at their favorite Wetherspoons to determine an allocation of the troops. Given their propensity to yammer on forever on any topic the problem will solve itself after a few pints when they miss both events.AnOwlCalledSage wrote: ↑Mon Dec 03, 2018 1:40 pm Looks like tomorrow is going to be a big day for the CLCers which could split their resources. For the last few weeks he has been filling the house with concrete, now it is solid with a brick skin.
He got the idea from a Turner Prize entry by Rachel Whitread, called 'House'. There is no longer any 'in' to get.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_(sculpture)The work was a concrete cast of the inside of the entire three-story house, basement, ground floor and first floor, including stairs and bay windows, but not the roof space. After Whiteread took possession of the building in August 1993, new foundations were created to support the new concrete. Internal structures such as sinks and cupboards were removed, holes in the walls filled and the windows covered, to prepare a continuous internal surface that could be sprayed with a debonding agent, then a 5 centimetres (2.0 in) layer of locrete coloured light grey, and then a final 25 centimetres (9.8 in) layer of concrete reinforced with steel mesh. The builders left through a hole in the roof which was then sealed, and the external brick-built structure was removed

Re: Robert 'Crab Bait' White consents to losing his houses
We had an issue in Vancouver a few years back where a property owner violated the allowed square footage in a new home he'd built. Single family residences can't have a total interior square footage in excess of an allowed maximum based on the size of the lot. According to his approved building plan his house fit within the ratio. However the plan didn't include a basement but the completed house did. His response when the city brought up the issue was "tough, you can't make me tear it down after it's built". City took him to court and it turned out that it could. However, since the original plan was fine, they compromised by making him fill in the entire finished basement with concrete.

Only two possibilities, broadly speaking -Dr. Caligari wrote: ↑Mon Dec 03, 2018 9:15 pmThey won't be getting in? What is he planning?Robert White wrote:They won’t be getting in and anyone attending please record whatever you can, cheers.
- Fortify the premises beyond the time, manpower and equipment available to the bailiffs. One would hope that they're aware of Krabby's character and intentions, and prepare accordingly, but that sometimes doesn't happen. Maybe he's bricked up all the downstairs doors and windows, for example. If so, he wins for the time being and they have to try again later.
- Create a potential for danger to life or public safety, sufficient for attending police to halt the eviction. He's filled the house with petrol and gas cylinders, and he'll ignite if entry is forced. He's rigged a shotgun to the front door, pointing at his own head etc. Problem with this is that while the bailiffs may be ordered to pull back, this will only be so that Police can remove him themselves. As a resistance tactic, it fails. But as an act of grand theatrical defiance, it may appeal to him.

Re: Robert 'Crab Bait' White consents to losing his houses
The possession order was heard in Medway County Court, so I expect it to go as per Neelu.
1) An attempt will be made to take possession by County Court bailiffs.
2) He will refuse to leave and claim victory, probably in a video which involves waving bits of paper around
3) Nat West will ask for the order to be transferred to the High Court and get a High Court writ of possession.
4) In a few months time, the property will be repossessed by High Court Enforcement Officers with barely a whimper.
