Gonna disagree with Serra, I'm strongly of the opinion that the Moorish Science Temple did start as a con, the few writings by Drew Ali that exist contain requests for money.

Many people have seen pseudo-moors in captivity on film, you have had the rare priviledge of seeing them live in the wild before the species vanishes into extinction due to habitat pressure and lack of ability to compete.
