Wasn't the white bread - live forever or at least a very long time, Erasmus's dad's invention? Something to do with the Vatican?
Reading between the lines as best as possible, I think this translates into "I have bought a bicycle".

I doubt he'd get much of a bicycle for two quid and some bottle tops.
BTW, has anyone nothiced the board's 'remember me' function seems to have stopped working? I keep having to sign in several times a day.

Oh good grief... Where does he get this nonsense? YouTube videos? Eric von Daniken? The little mouse inside his head working the levers?Baron von Delusional "But Moses is well documented."
Pretty much the only thing we know about Moses is that he didn't exist. He's as "well documented" as Harry Potter and that big hairy bloke in the Star Wars films. Not even the most devout (non-insane) orthodox rabbi believes Moses was a historical person.

Oh good it's not just me. Given the emphasis placed on getting the ritual exactly right within the alchemical/magickal tradition he seems to be trying to reference, an inability to spell and use grammar might be considered a bit of disqualification from achieving adept status. The last last Wizarding skill is the Encanters
That being said, is the Baron actually doing anything more obnoxious than chuntering on the aetheric web these days? I do worry a bit that I'm piling in on a rather sad and batty old van dweller of the sort I've met more than once on my travels, and generally feel a bit sorry for, even if I don't want to socialise with them.

There's a relevant thread in the About Quatloos forum. Basically, you need to update your bookmarks so that the URL starts with https:// rather than http:// .Juisarian wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2019 12:36 pmOh good it's not just me. My browser is showing https, and t is kicking me off when I come back to a tab that has been loaded all the time. I will try and find the relevant thread for more help. It is not a big deal

Worse, you need a demon's exact full name to control it, but any approximation will summon it.John Uskglass wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2019 6:30 pmGiven the emphasis placed on getting the ritual exactly right within the alchemical/magickal tradition he seems to be trying to reference, an inability to spell and use grammar might be considered a bit of disqualification from achieving adept status. The last last Wizarding skill is the Encanters

I have no idea why I had to go through all of those hoops but I did and it worked.

Wait a second. I just bought a bicycle. Does the Transitive Property of Bicycle Ownership mean that I'm going to become a loon who accomplishes nothing except posting insipid rot to the Internet?ArthurWankspittle wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2019 6:48 am Wasn't the white bread - live forever or at least a very long time, Erasmus's dad's invention? Oh no.

For a thorough understanding of bicycles I recommend "The Third Policeman" by Brian O'Nolan.

The late Sheldon Brown is the Internet guru of bicycles in my opinion.

Combine this with his references to defeating Merlin in wizards' chess and bingo, you've got someone who's delusional *and* a danger to himself or others.Baron von Gobshite wrote:Them Helth and safty people need a Base Ball Bat up the side of the Head

I am not sure that will happen. Most liberal societies nowadays don't seem to want to interfere with delusionals until they become a imminent threat to someone - and even then it takes the government time to react.

Making threats to the ”helth and safty people” is quite obviously a threat...The Observer wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2019 8:53 pmI am not sure that will happen. It might be but it's not enough to get you sectioned. The men in the white coats would look at the over all picture although things wouldn't look very good for B von TB there to be honest.MiddlesexFinn wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2019 6:35 am Making threats to the ”helth and safty people” is quite obviously a threat...
